With the development of modern cities,escalators have become an essential distribution transportation tool in densely populated areas,and are developing in the direction of high efficiency,reliability and intelligence.The auxiliary brake is an important safety guarantee in the operation of escalator.When the escalator is reversed or overspeed,the auxiliary brake can stop the escalator in an emergency,protect the life safety of passengers and reduce the economic and property losses.Because of the long-term continuous operation in the complex working environment,escalators are prone to failure,so the safety and reliability of the auxiliary brake are put forward higher requirements.In recent years,there are many researches on the reliability test methods of escalator overspeed prevention and reverse protection device in China,but these test methods are limited to the equipment use site,so it is impossible to systematically study the reliability of escalator overspeed prevention and reverse protection device.In the aspect of component reliability research,the main method in China is on-site continuity test,which is complicated and difficult to implement,so it is unable to carry out the reliability test research economically and efficiently.In view of the problems that the auxiliary brake is easy to fail and difficult to test in the service of escalator,based on the idea of equivalent load equivalent inertia,this paper studied the action principle of the auxiliary brake and put forward its reliability test method,developed the action and reliability test device of the auxiliary brake,and simulated the escalator in real working condition by the equivalent inertia of the flywheel loaded on the driving sprocket of the tested escalator in the test.Based on the structural dynamics and finite element theory,the change of each characteristic parameter of the braking performance of the auxiliary brake in the braking process was studied and analyzed with the method of physical test and numerical analysis,and its reliability evaluation index and method were established,and engineering application was carried out.The research results of this paper provided a kind of escalator auxiliary brake test device with strong applicability,improved the test efficiency of the escalator auxiliary brake and its related components,which made the escalator reliability test economic and fast,and put forward the reliability evaluation method of the auxiliary brake,which provided an important theoretical basis for improving the safety performance of the escalator.
