Background:LCP1 is an essential regulator concerning cell-cell interactions, adhesion, migration and chemokine-induced polarization of immune cells.Previous studies show that LCP1 is identified as a diagnostic and prognostic marker in several cancers, such as oral squamous cell carcinomas, colon and lung cancers. However, the role of LCP1 in gastric cancer(GC)and its effect on tumor immune infiltration(LCP1)remain unclear.Method:Firstly, the expression of LCP1 was analyzed by GEPIA database and TIMER database in gastric cancer tissues. At the same time, the expression of LCP1 was verified by immunohistochemistry and further to analyze the correlation between LCP1 expression and clinicopathological features. We employed Kaplan-Meier Plotter database to analyze the correlation between the expression of LCP1 and the overall survival rate,progression-free survival rate and post-progression survival of gastric cancer patients. Then, the c Bio Portal database was used to detect the genetic characteristics of LCP1 in gastric cancer. In addition, the correlation between LCP1 expression and immune cell infiltration in gastric cancer microenvironment was analyzed by R language using gastric cancer data downloaded from TCGA database,TIMER database and TISIDB database. Finally,we used GSEA software to analyze GSEA functional pathways. Results:In this study,we showed that LCP1 expression was significantly correlated with tumor aggressiveness and poor prognosis in GC patients.Additionally, the results indicated that LCP1 was associated with TILs including immunosuppressive cells(T cell exhaustion and regulatory T cells)and immunosupportive(CD4+ T and CD8+ T cells, macrophages, neutrophils, and dendritic cells),and had strongly correlated with various immune marker sets in GC.GSEA analysis demonstrated that LCP1 expression played an important role in lymphocyte formation and immune reaction.Conclusion:LCP1 may be a potential prognostic biomarker for GC patients and a marker for tumor immunotherapy.LCP1 plays an important double-edged role in tumor immune cells infiltration in the microenvironment of GC.
