With the rapid development of my country's higher education,the number of college students has increased sharply,and colleges and universities have generally carried out new construction and reconstruction projects.The student dormitory is an important part of the university campus,and the quality of its outdoor wind environment will directly affect the quality of learning and life of teachers and students.In architectural design,how to use modern design methods of ecology and architecture to provide teachers and students with a green and healthy outdoor wind environment has gradually been paid attention to by designers.This paper takes the dormitory area of colleges and universities in Hohhot as the research object,uses PHOENICS fluid mechanics simulation software to simulate three typical building units from the aspects of building orientation,building form,layout form,etc.,and proposes optimization strategies based on the simulation results.This article firstly summarizes the outdoor wind environment characteristics of buildings and the wind environment evaluation methods at pedestrian heights to provide a theoretical basis for numerical simulation.Secondly,it analyzes the climate characteristics and wind environment characteristics of Hohhot.Through field research,it summarizes and summarizes Hohhot's colleges and universities.The typical architectural form and layout form of the dormitory,and a certain college dormitory area is selected for wind environment measurement and simulation analysis.The measured value and the simulated value are compared and analyzed to verify the feasibility of the simulation software.Based on the characteristics of the wind environment in Hohhot again,the three typical building units are explored in terms of orientation and architectural form to explore their relationship with the wind environment;in terms of group buildings,they are explored from the two levels of layout mode and architectural orientation.The relevance of the wind environment,and its pros and cons are evaluated based on indicators such as wind speed ratio,wind speed,wind pressure,and human comfort.Finally,based on the previous simulation analysis,an optimization strategy is proposed from two aspects of single building and group building,and a student dormitory area of a university is selected for actual case analysis to optimize the existing wind environment problems.The CFD fluid mechanics software has the characteristics of high efficiency,accuracy,and visual expression.It analyzes the relevant chart data obtained from the simulation,and proposes an optimized design strategy based on this,and provides a reference for the planning and construction of the college dormitory area in Hohhot.
