Study On The Coordinated Development Of Population,Resources And Environment,Economy In Northwest China

Like most developing countries,China is now facing problems such as overpopulation,resource shortage and environmental pollution.The long-term style of aspiring economic development at the cost of resources and environment has led to the progressive out-of-balance of the relationship between man and nature.The problem of the coordinated development of population,resources,environment and economy has become the focus of the research on sustainable development.Compared with other regions in China,the natural environment in Northwest China is more severe,the population is sparse,the population distribution is uneven,and the economic development is relatively backward.For a long time,the resource-based economy has dominated the northwest region.The extensive production and operation mode makes the original fragile ecological environment system suffer more serious damage.At the same time,in recent years,with the emergence of the aging population,the problem of insufficient human capital reserve in the northwest region is increasingly obvious,which restricts the upgrading of local industrial structure and affects the rapid economic development.Therefore,how to correctly evaluate the coordinated development of population,resources and environment and economy in Northwest China and how to better promote the coordinated development among the three local systems are particularly important.By studying a large number of domestic and foreign literatures and relying on relevant theories,resources and environment,economic development and the interaction mechanism between the systems in Northwest China.Then,the comprehensive development level of population,resources,environment and economy in Northwest China and five provinces is calculated and analyzed.Then,according to the evaluation results of comprehensive development level,using the fuzzy membership model,using the coordinated development coefficient,this paper studies the coordinated development level of population,resource environment and economic system in Northwest China and its five internal provinces and regions,and analyzes its coordinated development trend.The results show that:(1)from 2000 to 2018,the comprehensive development level of population in Northwest China has a trend of increasing first and then decreasing,the aging problem of population is prominent,the quality of population needs to be improved,the comprehensive development level of resources and environment fluctuates,the problems of resource waste and ecological environment damage are serious,the comprehensive development level of population is increasing year by year,and the economic development achievements are obvious;(2)in Northwest China The comprehensive development level of population,resource environment and economic system is significantly different among the five provinces;(3)the coordinated development level of population,resource environment and economic system in Northwest China is lower than that of the three systems,and there are differences between the five provinces.Finally,in view of the above problems,this paper puts forward suggestions to promote the coordinated development of population,resources,environment and economy in Northwest China:(1)improve social welfare,increase investment in education;(2)accelerate the transformation of economic growth mode,promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure;(3)strengthen environmental protection and resource conservation.
