| Sustainable development is a great challenge facing human being today.Human activities have had a far-reaching impact on the original natural environment of the earth,and land use and landscape bear the brunt.As a typical area of fragile natural environment,how to effectively evaluate the landscape sustainability of the hilly and gully region of the Loess Plateau,fully exert the advantages of ecological resources,achieve the ultimate goal of harmonious development of the complex human-land system has become one of the hot issues in current geography and ecology.The research area of this paper is Mizhi County,Shaanxi province,which is located in the hilly and gully region of the Loess Plateau.Firstly,the CA-Markov model was constructed to predict the spatial pattern of land use in the research area in 2025;Secondly,taking the landscape as the research scale,giving a landscape sustainability evaluation matrix and a method for quantitatively evaluating landscape sustainability based on Boltzmann entropy;Thirdly,the landscape sustainability of 216 sub-basins in the study area from 2000 to 2025 was evaluated and its spatio-temporal evolution rule was discussed.Finally,according to the results of sustainability evaluation and the actual situation of the study area,the corresponding measures and suggestions for the sustainable development of Mizhi County in the future are put forward.The results are as follows:(1)The CA-Markov model constructed in this paper can accurately simulate the LUCC in the study area.Making land use suitability atlas through the Multi-Criteria Evaluations model(MCE)can improve the prediction accuracy of the model.According to the predicted results in 2025,it is found that its evolution trend is roughly the same as that from 2010 to 2020,and it better reflects the government policy of Mizhi County to vigorously develop mountain apples in recent years.(2)The landscape sustainability evaluation method based on Boltzmann entropy proposed in this paper provides a new idea for landscape sustainability evaluation.At the same time,based on the evaluation of the study area,it provides a vivid case for the application of landscape Boltzmann entropy,and also provides a reference method for the landscape sustainability evaluation of similar areas.(3)In 2000,the overall landscape sustainability in Mizhi County was poor,while in 2015,the overall landscape sustainability showed a trend of improvement,mainly because the study area vigorously implemented the “Grain for Green Project” policy during the 15 years,which enabled the local ecological environment to recover.There is little change in landscape sustainability from 2015 to 2020,and 60% of the sub-basins area maintains the original landscape sustainability level;By comparing 2025 and 2020,it is found that there is a potential trend of deterioration of landscape sustainability in the study area in the next five years,which needs to be paid attention to.(4)Measures and suggestions for sustainable development in Mizhi County: Appropriately increase the woodland and grassland area in Mizhi County and improve its management and protection level;Strengthening water resources protection in Mizhi County;Controlling the ecological problems caused by the development of Mizhi County;Raising the ecological protection consciousness of residents in Mizhi County;Developing ecological tourism in Mizhi County. |
