Individuals in social animal populations interact with each other to seek breeding resources, food resources and living environment. When the interaction between individuals needs to weigh the costs and benefits of social relations, hierarchy will appear. The hierarchical relationship profoundly affects the distribution of resources among individuals or between groups, making the use of resources by individuals or groups of high and low ranks dominated by the hierarchical system, and resources are of great significance in maintaining the stability of species. In primates, competition between individuals or groups for food resources and reproductive resources is very common.Studying the competition for resources between individuals of different ranks will help to explore the mechanism of grouping and stability of social animals. The Sichuan golden monkey has a unique Multi-Rank Society structure. The existence of its hierarchy will affect the competition between individuals and groups for resources. As an important member of the group, females are of great significance for maintaining unit cohesion and stabilizing unit status. At present, the feeding of males in different ranks of the sexes and their strategies in maintaining the stability of the unit have been described. However, which strategy the females of different ranks adopt to deal with resource competition and maintain the stability of the unit is still a research difficulty. In response to this scientific problem, this study took all adult males and adult females in the breeding herd in the Guanyin Mountain National Nature Reserve,Foping County,Hanzhong City,Shaanxi Province, and used the focus sampling method and the full event recording method to complete the target individuals.Days of follow-up observation, detailed records of the individual's feeding situation and the distribution of behavioral time and activity, and detailed quantification and analysis of food feeding. The study found:1.The feeding time of adult females in high-rank units was significantly lower than that of females in low-rank units, and there was no significant difference in the food intake and energy intake of adult females in different grade units.2.Adult females in high-rank units spend less time eating, and their social behavior time is significantly higher than that of adult females in low-rank units. In terms of social behavior time allocation, the interaction time between high-rank unit females and minor individuals in the unit was significantly higher than that of low-rank unit females, and the interaction time with other adult individuals in the unit was significantly higher than that of low-rank unit females, actively interacting with the main male of the unit However,it is significantly lower than that of low-rank unit females. The results of this study indicate that the feeding strategies and behavioral time allocation strategies of adult females of different ranks are not the same as their dominant males. The feeding strategies of females in high and low ranks are similar, and there is no significant difference.High-rank females are not because of their affiliation. The higher-rank male of the unit leads to higher income from food resources. In the behavioral time allocation strategy,high-rank unit females actively spend more time with minors in the same unit, and then interact with other adult females in the unit, spending the least time with the unit-dominant male;while low-rank unit females actively spend more time with the unit-dominant male.Adult females of high and low rank units use different behavior strategies to enhance unit cohesion.
