Dynamic Study Of Winter Water Birds Diversityand Habitat In Chengbihe Nature Reserve

Reservoir-pond wetland is a very important habitat for winter water birds,and the diversity of water birds is one of the important indicators of wetland ecological health.Through the dynamic monitoring of the diversity of water birds in the Chengbihe Reservoir in Baise City for many years and the study of the habitat conditions around the reservoir,the relationship between the changes in the water level of the reservoir and the diversity of water birds was analyzed,and the dynamic changes of the planting structure around the reservoir were discussed.We got several results of this study.First one,the diversity of water birds in Chengbihe Reservoir is very rich.A total of 48 species of water birds have been observed in the past 8 years,including Ciconia nigra,Gorsachius magnificus and other rare and endangered birds.Chinese goosanders also formed in Chengbihe Reservoir.A stable overwintering Chinese goosanders population has been established.Second,68.8% of all water birds in the Reservoir are migratory birds;among all water birds,birds such as Tachybaptus ruficollis,Podiceps cristatus,Egretta garzetta and Ardea cinerea are the dominant birds in Chengbihe Reservoir.Bubulcus ibis,Ardeola bacchus and other heron species are common species in the reservoir,but more than half of the water birds are occasional species,indicating that the dominant populations of water birds in Chengbihe Reservoir are more obvious.Third,The relationship between the number of species of winter water birds in the reservoir in winter and the annual change of the water level is significantly negatively correlated.In 2016,when the water level was the lowest,the number of species of water birds in the reservoir reached the highest.The last,Annual range change of hydro-fluctuation belt in Chengbihe reservoir has significantly impact the diversity of winter birds.The larger area of hydro-fluctuation belt,the higher the number of the winter birds species.The habitat of water birds in the reservoir has been greatly disturbed by human activities.In general,Chengbihe Reservoir,as a very important inland wetland in Guangxi,has become an important habitat for water birds and an important wintering and resting place for migratory birds,and has very important protection value.
