Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region("Gui" for short)is located on the edge of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. It is adjacent to the Beibu Gulf to the south,Nanling Mountains to the north, and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau to the west. The Tropic of Cancer traverses the central part of Guangxi, and there are three bioclimatic zones from south to north in Guangxi: north tropical, south subtropical, and mid-subtropical regions. The special geographic location and the complex and diverse environment in Guangxi makes diverse ecosystems, rich biodiversity and rich local species. The spider family Pholcidae has high species diversity.According to the World Spider Catalog, there are currently 1820 known species of 95 genera in this family all over the world.Among 129 spider families, the species number of the family Pholcidae ranks the ninth.240 Pholcids belonging to 16 genera have been recorded in China. However, there has still no systematic taxonomic study on Pholcids in Guangxi,China. The research team of Hunan Normal University made explorations in Guangxi for more than 10 years and collected many spider specimens.Based on these accumulated specimens, this present study made a systematic taxonomic study on Pholcid in Guangxi,China. The purposes of the study are,on one hand,to find out the rich resources of Pholcid in Guangxi, and on the other hand,to test the monophyly of the genera and the phylogenetic relationship between genera and between species by reconstructing the phylogenetic tree.Based on the specimens collected by the research team of Hunan Normal University and combined with the previous research results on taxonomy of Pholcidae from Guangxi, this thesis supplied the list of pholcids in Guangxi including 7 genera and 72 species of Pholcidae.Among 72 species,11 new species and 1 new recorded species from China are included.11 new species are Belisana concava n.sp.,B.extensa n.sp.,B.recta n.sp.,B.robusta n.sp.,B.strenua n.sp.,Khorata aliformis n.sp.,K bidentata n.sp.,K claviformia n.sp.,K mashanensis n.sp.,K paraliuzhouensis n.sp.and K concha n.sp.,and one new Chinese record species is Belisana triangula Yao,Pham & Li,2015.The topological structure of the morphological phylogenetic tree supports the placement of the new species in the classification system in the present study. The topological structure of the tree shows that pholcids in Guangxi are divided into two major branches, which is consistent with that of the previous molecular phylogenetic tree. However,Crossoopriza and Pholcus are sister groups in this study, which is inconsistent with the existing phylogenetic results based on molecular data. The possible reasons for this kind of inconsistency were analyzed. This thesis provides 206 color pictures of 36 plates,34 ink paintings of 10 plates and 5 distribution maps.
