Limb paralysis is a kind of disability disease that will have a great negative impact on people's physical and mental health and quality of life.More and more researchers and medical staff are focusing on the rehabilitation and treatment of paralysis.Therefore,it is of great significance to combine the knowledge and technology of electronics and biology to solve this problem.Our team took the lead in innovating the treatment methods of "Micro-Electronic Neural Bridge(MENB)" and "Micro-Electronic Myographic Bridge(MEMB)" to help paralyzed patients achieve the purpose of motor function reconstruction.The principle of this method is to obtain the movement signal of a healthy limb by electronic instrument,extract movement characteristics of the limb by classifier algorithm,and finally make paralyzed limb produce the same muscle action by functional electrical stimulation device,to help paralyzed patients with treatment and rehabilitation training.After analyzing and comparing all kinds of bioelectronic methods,this paper introduces the approach of the MENB in our research group,as well as the achievements and experience in the early stage.On this basis,the research ideas and corresponding research results of MEMB are introduced.After years of research and clinical experiments,the research group has been able to scientifically and effectively help patients with hemiplegia or even total paralysis to reconstruct the function of upper hands.Patients can complete basic movements such as wrist flexion,wrist extension,grasping,and finger extension.Based on ensuring reliability and accuracy,the bridge instrument designed by the research group has changed from desktop instruments to the small-scale wearable instruments.To further improve the performance of the system and promote the future implantable miniaturized instrument,based on the previous experience of the research group,this paper improves the system from two aspects: circuit design and signal input and output.In the signal acquisition end,this paper focuses on the design of EMG signal acquisition device,which solves the problems of large power consumption,large volume,and not easy to wear of the original system,and greatly improves the resolution and accuracy of the system signal acquisition.For the signal stimulation end,this paper focuses on the analysis of the nerve signal stimulation scheme,using an adjustable multi-channel constant pressure stimulation method to generate muscle action.Finally,combining the two methods,the bridge MENB and MEMB is realized.The EMG acquisition system and the nerve electrical signal stimulation system designed in this paper have the strengths of small dimension,easy operation,as well as accurately repeating the functions of previous similar instruments.The ideas and approaches proposed in this paper may provide some valuable experience and help for the follow-up research of the related topics.
