In this work,ten novel phosphonate coordination polymers with(4-HOOCC6H4CH2CH2PO(OH)(OC2H5))(H2L)as carboxyphosphonate ligand have been successfully synthesized under hydrothermal conditions.All above compounds were structurally characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction,X-ray powder diffraction,infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis.The optical activities of chiral compounds 2 have been studied by means of circular dichroism(CD)spectra.Meanwhile,the surface photovoltage property of compound 5 and the luminescence properties of compounds 1,3,6,7,8,10 have also been studied.In addition,chiral compounds 1 and 3 have been realized for selective sensing of amino acids by the luminescent method.The chemical formulas are listed as follow:(1)Cd[(OOCC6H4CH2PO2(OC2H5))(2,2'-bipy)(H2O)](2)Mn[(OOCC6H4CH2PO2(OC2H5))(2,2'-bipy)(H2O)](3)Zn[(OOCC6H4CH2PO2(OC2H5))(2,2'-bipy)]H2O(4)Cu[(OOCC6H4CH2PO2(OC2H5))(2,2'-bipy)]H2O(5)[Cu(OH)3(H2O)]Cu2[(OOCC6H4CH2PO3)(1,10-phen)2]·H2O(6)Zn[(OOCC6H4CH2PO2(OC2H5))(H2biim)](7)Cd[(OOCC6H4CH2PO2(OC2H5))(H2biim)(H2O)]·H2O(8)Cd[(OOCC6H4CH2PO2(OC2H5))(H2biim)](9)Cu[(HOOCC6H4CH2PO3H)2(4,4'-bipy)]2H2O(10)Cd3[(OOCC6H4CH2PO3)2(1,10-phen)1,5]Compounds 1-10 have been synthesized by employing(4-HOOCC6H4CH2CH2PO(OH)(OC2H5))(H2L)as the phosphonate ligand and 2,2'-bipy,4,4'-bipy,1,10-phen,H2biim as the second metal linker.X-ray diffraction analysis shows that compounds 1-4 are isostructural chiral compounds.They all show 2D layer structures,and neighboring layers are further assembled into 3D supramolecular structures by ?-? stacking interactions.Compound 5-7 features a 1D chain structure,and Compounds 6 and 7 can be described as 3D supramolecular structures,which are assembled through ?-? stacking interactions.Compounds 8 and 9 can be described as 3D supramolecular structures,which are assembled through ?? stacking and hydrogen bonding interactions.Compound 10 adopts a 3D framework structure.Thermal stabilities experiments of compounds 1-10 reveal that compounds 6 and 8 have the stabilized framework structures.The SPS and FISPS of compound 5 indicate that it exhibits surface photo voltage property and show p-type semiconductor characteristic.The luminescence analyses indicate that compounds 1,3,6,7,8,10 are good luminescent materials.Meanwhile,the molecular recognition experiments of chiral compounds 1 and 3 were proformed.They have been realized for sensitive sensing of tryptophan by the luminescent method.
