With the development of Chinese social economy and the continuous expansion of road transportation demand,the construction of highway infrastructure in China has developed rapidly,and the highway network and layout were constantly improving and optimizing.However,at the same time,due to the different construction schedules of expressway projects,construction backgrounds,and injections of safety scientific research results,the common phenomena of road safety accidents caused by poor running conditions of the roads that have already been put into operation.Based on the characteristics of highway traffic accidents and safety influencing factors,this paper focuses on objective factors,considered the structural characteristics of infrastructure and selects road condition factors for evaluating the safety of highways,which aims to find out the safety hazards in road conditions that caused traffic accidents.This paper first analyzes the accident characteristics and safety influencing factors of expressway,and the road factors are the main objective factors affecting highway safety.In view of the problems existing in the current highway safety evaluation research,combined with the actual situation of expressway safety,based on the actual road safety requirements,the basic test about the safety of the expressway was carried out,from the standard compliance test based on the standard specification and the linear shape.The linear safety test and the vehicle stability test relied on the stability of the vehicle were discussed.Taking account to the conditions of the expressway road,a reasonable and effective theoretical method was adopted to identify and determine the potential safety influencing factors in the objective conditions of the expressway..At the same time,based on the basic test method of safety evaluation,combined with the actual case of Yan'an along the expressway,the theoretical method was applied to the actual situation,the unsafe factors in the highway road conditions were identified,and effective improvement measures were formulated according to the evaluation results.According to the characteristics of the expressway and the structure of the facility,consider the influencing factors in the objective road conditions and the significance of each factor on the safety,the general road sections,bridge sections,interchangeable sections and tunnel sections in the expressway were selected.According to the attribute recognition theory,the safety evaluation model of improved attribute recognition theory based on grey correlation degree was constructed.Considering the intrinsic influence and connection of each evaluation index,the overall safety level of the expressway was evaluated,and the characteristics of the evaluation method was given in order to find the safety level.The methods described above would support for the development of traffic safety management.Finally,the highway safety evaluation method was applied to actual cases,the overall safety level of the case was evaluated at a high speed,the specific problems in the road factors were identified,and targeted improvement measures were proposed.
