| Fruits and vegetables is essential source of nutrients for human beings.Fruits and vegetables are prone to deterorate after harvest.Therefore,storage of fruits and vegetables is of importance.For the purpose to develop a new technology for better storage of fruits and vegetables,technique of a new compounded film produced of Amorphophallus konjac(KGM)and silicon was researched and performance of the compounded filem was optimized by magnetic stirring and ultrasonic treatment.Furthermore,the compounded film was testified by application in the storage of strawberry(Fragaria ananassa Duch.).The results are as follows:1.Technique to prepare the compounded film.Optimal formulation of the compounded film was determined,by principal component analysis with transmittance(T),water vapor permeability(WVP),elongation(E),tensile strength(TS)and oxygen permeability(OP)as indicators,as 0.6 g/100mL KGM,0.03 g/100mL nano-silica and 1 v/100mL glycerinum.Under this formulation,both magnetic stirring and ultrasonic treatment were applied for film modification to improve its performance.The results show that 30 min of application time for both magnetic stirring and ultrasonic treatment exerted the compounded film best performance.2.Effect of the compounded film coating on storage of strawberries.Results of coating storage of strawberry with the fabricated film under 0℃、4℃ or 10℃ show that weight loss,ascorbic acid,pH,change of color of strawberries were notably delayed,and the activities of polygalacturonase(PG),pectinesterase(PME),peroxidase(POD)and polyphenol oxidase(PPO)were inhibited,thus browning and softening were obviously inhibited and decrease in quality of strawberries was significantly delayed.This research has proved that coating storage of stawberries with the fabricated KGM/nano silica compounded film exerted good effect,which provided a new possibility for the storage of ftuits and vegetables and some references for further application of this newly fabricated film in the storage of more fruits and vegetables. |
