In the process of traditional mold design and manufacturing and its use,too much dependence on experience,low reliability and repeated testing of the mold,mold development cycle and cost can not be effectively guaranteed,in addition,in the process of injection buckling deformation,volume shrinkage,welding mark,insufficient fill and other problems seriously affect the quality of products.In view of the above problems,this paper takes the mold of automobile taillight lampcover as an example,proposes the digital mold design method based on UG and Moldflow,and optimizes the structural parameters and injection molding process parameters in the mold design process through orthogonal experments.The specific research contents are as follows:First of all,in the design of gating system,the influence of the diameter of main runner,runner and gate on the pressure of mold cavity was studied,using the orthogonal method to carry on the three factors,four levels orthogonal experiment,single index of pouring system the best parameter combination as the main flow channel,main runner small end diamete of 8mm,runner diameter of 10 mm,gate diameter of 4.5mm,order affect distributary channel runner diameter,the diameter of the main runner,the gate diameter.In the cooling system design,Moldflow was used for Moldflow analysis,and it was found that the temperature difference between the inner and outer surface of the lampshade was too large.According to the design principle,the Moldflow analysis was conducted after adding the baffle,and the highest temperature of the lampshade was reduced by 15.3%,the temperature difference of the lampshade was reduced by 40%,and the temperature difference of the cooling fluid was reduced by 36.40%.Secondly,considering the requirements and cost of mold design and manufacturing process,the injection sequence of the three-color lampshade mold was determined: the black bottom frame and transparent grille were injected at the same time,and the red lampshade was injected after the moving mold side rotated 180°.In addition,according to the actual needs of mold production,select the form of one mold and two cavities,and carry out detailed design of ejector system and exhaust system to complete the overall design of the mold.Then,in the injection molding process parameters,the mold temperature,melt temperature,injection time,holding pressure and cooling time of the influence of volume shrinkage,warping deformation and the shrink mark,using the orthogonal method to carry on the four factors,five levels the multi-target orthogonal experiment,the introduction of classical mathematical model S fuzzy membership function and analytic hierarchy process comprehensive analysis of the experimental results,the optimal injection molding process parameters combination for the mold temperature of 50?,the melt temperature of 245 ?,the holding pressure of 80%,the injection time of 0.8S,and the cooling time of 22 S.The optimized ratio of volume shrinkage rate reached 42.5%,shrinkage mark estimation reached 26.3%,and maximum warping deformation optimized ratio reached 10.0%.The influence order of injection molding was injection time,mold temperature,melt temperature,pressure holding and cooling time.Finally,the injection molding experiment is used to verify the digital design mold.The three-coordinate test results show that the actual injection molding result and the simulation analysis error is within 10%,which proves the reliability and feasibility of the digital design mold.
