As the development of modern society, there are more and more demands on plastic commodities, so the mold industry is seeing a fast increase, and the technology of mold design and manufacturing is also in a revolutionary change. Specifically, CAD/CAE technology is widely used in Plastic Injection mold design and manufacturing, and related areas are developing quickly as well. By using this kind of modern method, the developing time and cost of making mold is reduced significantly, leading to higher quality and outstanding economic benefit. In this dissertation, we take the daily used plastic stool as the researching objective. By using software like PRO/E and Moldflow to design and analyze mold, orthogonal analysis method is used to optimize the injection molding process parameters in order to study related technologies.Firstly, the cavity system of the plastic stool is established in PRO/E, including the design of gating system, positioning inserts, active inserts and etc. The molding frame and other components of the plastic stool is accomplished, mainly including parts of structural system, parts of reset system, fasteners, launch systems and etc. By using EMX molding frame system controls, the final3D assembly drawing of the mold is generated.Then, we use Moldflow/MPI to simulate the process of cavity filling, in order to analyze the according crafts’process, which can optimize the pouring and cooling systems for the mold.Finally, aiming at optimize the warping degree of the plastic stool in molding process, orthogonal analysis method is used to generate optimal combination factors such as dwell time, injection time, holding pressure, mold temperature and melt temperature which effect the products’ quality.Through the research of this issue, related methods’feasibility and correctness are validated, which offers a satisfied approach of mold design and make a contribution to the information development in molding technology.
