Tolerance is very important for both quality and cost.The thesis present tolerance analysis method based on POP chip test socket during design process.To critical dimension,set up analysis model,verify and optimize current part tolerance.Firstly,Summarized tolerance analysis theories and methods comprehensively,compared the merits and faults as well as application.Bring up the most reasonable analysis method-Monte Carlo simulation through contrast.Investigate M-C method and its analysis flow,and use MATLAB to realize.Secondly,the structure of POP chip test socket is expounded,and the spring probe which has important influence on the socket performance is emphatically introduced.The purpose and analysis requirements of tolerance analysis are extended.Thirdly,put forward two solutions include spring probe travel tolerance stack up and X-Y positional alignment analysis based on issues encountered in design process.Define the goal of analysis and establish the model,then do M-C tolerance analysis considering geometric tolerance.Found key dimensions,give recommendation for improvement and improve the robustness of product.Lastly,this paper gives a summarize of the entail research,indicates the further study direction.
