Adhesive interlining is the main excipient of the garment industry,and it is applied to the inner layer of the garment to reinforce and stiffen the clothes.Adhesive interlining can simplify the production of garments,improve production efficiency,reduce production costs,and show the specific style of modern clothing.With the continuous improvement of people's living standards,people's concept of clothing consumption is changing.People are pursuing comfort,environmental protection and health on the basis of multifunctional fabrics.The cotton lining cloth has the advantages of moisture absorption,breathability and comfortable wearing,which can improve the grade of the clothing and is favored by consumers.However,the cotton fabric has a large shrinkage rate after washing,which seriously affects the appearance quality of the garment.At present,the factory mainly reduces the shrinkage rate of the fabric by resin finishing.However,the resin is mainly used for the initial shrinkage of amide and formaldehyde,and there is a problem of formaldehyde release,which is harmful to the human body.As countries' requirements for textile formaldehyde content become more stringent,increasing the dimensional stability of cotton linings on the basis of formaldehyde-free release has always been the goal pursued by manufacturers.Based on the difficulty of shrinking water and the instability of the cotton lining cloth encountered by Cod Baby lining cloth(Nantong)Co.,Ltd.,the research on the dimensional stability of cotton lining was carried out.This topic first selects four commercially available resin finishing agents for cotton lining finishing,which are modified dihydroxy vinyl urea(NZK),imidazoline derivatives(WFF),polycarboxylic acid compounds(DPH)and Carboxylic acids(SRD787).The anti-shrinkage effects of the four finishing agents were analyzed by testing the whiteness,tearing strength and water shrinkage rate of the finished fabric.The experimental results show that there is no release of free formaldehyde in the fabrics of the four resins,and the WFF solid content is the highest.The whiteness and shrinkage of the fabrics are the best after finishing.The NZK is second,DPH and SRD787 are relatively poor.Secondly,NZK and WFF were selected from the above four resins for single factor experiments to investigate the effects of resin dosage,catalyst dosage,citric acid dosage,softener dosage,baking temperature and baking time on the dimensional stability of the fabric.Then,the four-factor four-level orthogonal test is used to judge the influence of various factors and determine the optimal process.For the resin NZK,the factors affecting the dimensional stability of the fabric are: NZK concentration>baking time>baking temperature>magnesium chloride concentration.When NZK concentration is 160 g/L,magnesium chloride concentration is 16 g/L,AW concentration is 2 g/L,PA-116 concentration is 20 g/L,citric acid concentration is 0.4 g/L,pre-bake at 80 °C for 2 min,and baking for 70 s at 160 °C.The warp and weft dimensional change rates of the finished fabric were-1.1% and-1.7%.For the resin WFF,the factors affecting the dimensional stability of the fabric are: WFF concentration>baking temperature>FF concentration>baking time.When the dosage of WFF is 160 g/L,the dosage of catalyst FF is 18 g/L,the dosage of AW is 2 g/L,the dosage of PA-116 is 20 g/L,the dosage of citric acid is 0.4 g/L,pre-bake at 80 °C for 2 min,and baking for 110 s at 175 °C.After the finishing,the fabric has a warp and weft dimensional change rate of-0.5% and-1.0%,and the effect is excellent.Waterborne polyurethanes are synergistic with other resins and work better when used together to treat fabrics than when using waterborne polyurethanes alone.The three commercially available three kinds of water-based polyurethanes AH-1618,AH-1618 E,and AH-1605 B were separately compounded with WFF,NZK,DPH,and SRD787.By comparing the shrinkage rate of the finished fabric and other properties,it was found that the AH-1618 and WFF fabrics had the best dimensional stability after finishing and had little effect on the whiteness of the fabric.The effect of AH-1618 dosage and WFF dosage on the dimensional stability of the finished fabric was investigated to determine the optimal process.When AH-1618 concentration is 50 g/L,WFF concentration is 60 g/L,catalyst FF 10 g/L,PA-116 20 g/L,citric acid 0.4 g/L,pre-bake at 80 °C for 2 min,baking 90 s at 160 ° C.The fabric has excellent dimensional stability after finishing,and the warp and weft shrinkage is-0.2% and-0.8%,and the whiteness and breaking strength are also good.In summary,there are many factors influencing the water shrinkage rate of cotton lining cloth.The shrinkage rate of the fabric after treatment with imidazoline resin or modified 2D resin is large and unstable.The use of WFF and AH-1618 compounding agent can effectively improve the dimensional stability of the fabric on the basis of formaldehyde-free release.
