As of now,coal resources are still an important pillar of China's national economy,and the demand for coal in power,steel and other industries is still very large.However,coal spontaneous combustion has always been a stumbling block for mine safety.Once spontaneous combustion of coal occurs,it will cause major natural disasters such as fires and gas explosions,which will bring incalculable injuries and losses to people.Therefore,how to effectively prevent spontaneous combustion of coal is a challenge facing the world.Due to its excellent cooling and air leakage characteristics,gel type fire extinguishing materials have good fluidity,strong water retention,and controllable gelation time.It is used to control coal spontaneous combustion in goafs and block air leakage passages in goafs with broadly application foreground.In order to prevent spontaneous combustion of coal,this paper proposes a new type of plastic gel material for fire extinguishing.That is,in the traditional water glass gel(WG),cationic polyacrylamide(CPAM),anionic polyacrylamide(HPAM),and carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC)were introduced to prepare new CPAM/WG gel,HPAM/WG gel,CMC/WG gel,additionally adding crosslinking agent aluminum citrate(AlCit)to HPAM/WG gel,CMC/WG gel,to prepare new interpenetrating networks HPAM-A13+/WG gel and CMC-A13+/WG gel.Compared with traditional gel glass materials,CPAM/WG gel,HPAM/WG gel,CMC/WG gel and CMC-Al3+/WG gel,HPAM-A13+/WG gel has better water retention and resistance The compressive strength and resistance properties effectively solve the problems of easy cracking and powdering of traditional inorganic silica gel consolidations after losing water.In addition,the morphological changes of the modified gel and the traditional water glass gel were studied from a microscopic perspective by SEM test;the difference of the inhibition effect of the gel material on the hydroxyl and methylene groups during coal oxidation was analyzed by FTIR;EDS-Mapping analysis shows that the inorganic silicon gel and polymer gel are mixed evenly.The fire extinguishing experiment shows that HPAM-Al3+/WG gel can cover the surface of the burning coal body,significantly reduce the temperature of the fire source,the heat radiation and the production of CO,and the fire extinguishing is stable without recombustion;while using other materials to extinguish After that,the coal bodies have different degrees of re-ignition,or there is a tendency to re-ignite.It can be seen that HPAM-Al3+/WG gel is a mine fire extinguishing material with excellent comprehensive performance.According to the characteristics of gel time and permeability of the plastic gel,a reasonable plastic gel grouting device was clarified.According to the characteristics of the areas such as normal mining,fault crossing,stop mining,and withdrawing of coal pillars under different circumstances,a suitable field application plan was developed.Applying plastic gel to 1308 working face of Shandong Lilou Coal Industry Co.,Ltd.has good effect and broad application prospects.The plastic gel is different from the traditional gel,and has the characteristics of low cost,good permeability,controllable gel time,good water retention and good toughness.It has obvious advantages compared with other fire extinguishing materials.At the same time,plastic gel preparation is simple,the cost is low,and economic investment can be accepted by most coal mining enterprises.The matching grouting equipment is easy to operate and convenient for coal miners to use.The fire extinguishing effect is remarkable.Under the prevention and control of the gel,the fire-prone area of the coal mine avoids the occurrence of fire.The coal that is free from spontaneous combustion is mined out and brings profits to the mining enterprises.
