The dissolution of the primary phase in the aluminum base master alloy during the melting process of aluminum alloy is directly affect efficiency of addition element.Moreover,Moreover,the incompletely dissolved phases can residue in the matrix and effect the final property of the aluminum alloy.The researches about the dissolution and diffusion behavior of primary phase in the aluminum melting are limited.This paper mainly focuses on the dissolution and diffusion behavior of primary phase of Al based master alloy in aluminum melt.The main research contents of this paper include the following 2 aspects:(1)The dissolution and diffusion behavior of different primary Zr in the aluminum melting molten.(2)The prepare of the Al-10V master alloy with different V containing phase,and the dissolution and diffusion behavior of different primary V containing phase in the aluminum melting molten.The main results are as follows:(1)The dissolving speed of Al3Zr phases with different morphologies in liquid Al was different.The dissolving speed of the coarse flake-like Al3Zr phase is slowest in the pure aluminum melt,and the undissolved Al3Zr phase is still exists after heat preservation at 700? for 60min.The dissolution rate of the small size block-like Al3Zr phase is fastest in molten aluminum melt,and the block-like Al3Zr phase is dissolved at 700? for 15min.The dissolution rate of the needle-like Al3Zr phase in the molten aluminum melt is between the flake-like and the needle-like Al3Zr phase.(2)The dissolution way of Al3Zr phases with different morphologies in liquid Al were different.The mall size block-like Al3Zr phases directly dissolved ingto the aluminum melt.The needle-like and flake-like Al3Zr phases dissolved and fused into several parts firstly.(3)The refinement effect of Zr element on commercially pure aluminum is related to the existence form of Zr element in molten aluminum melt.When the Zr element is completely dissolved in aluminum melt,the refining effect on commercially pure aluminum is limited;When the existence form of Zr is a small amount of coarse Zr phase in molten aluminum melt,the refinement effect on commercially pure aluminum is also limited;When the the existence form of Zr is formed with a large number of small size of Zr phase in molten aluminum melt,the refinement effect on industrial pure aluminum is worked obviously.(4)The V element of 1170? Al-10V master alloy molten melt will be formed different morphology and size of V containing phase with different cooling rate.When the cooling rate is higher than 24.3?/s,the Al3V phase with the morphology of dendrite formed in the master alloy.When the cooling rate is lower than 24.3?/s,the Al3V phase with the morphology of dendrite formed in the master alloy.The Al10V phase with plate shape formed in the Al-10V master alloy.(5)During the dissolution and diffusion process of V containting phase in molten aluminum melt,the morphology and structure factors have limited effect on the dissolution and diffusion rate.
