With the proposition of "industry 4.0",iron and steel enterprises must win in the increasingly competitive market environment which need further optimization and innovation in the field of intelligent manufacturing.Based on customer contract driven process design and production of iron and steel enterprises,this paper studies the problem of medium mother plate design under mass customization.The main contents are summarized as follows:1)Reviewed the mother plate design and related researches.This paper conclude mother plate design problem as the two-dimensional flexible bin packing problem.According to the cutting direction of the first stage,this problem can be divided into horizontal and vertical cutting levels.This rotatable sub plate cannot be overlapped.The optimization target is to minimize the area of the residual resource.This paper also makes a systematic review of the research status of bin packing problem.2)Aims to medium mother plate design problem,column generation heuristic algorithm and hybrid heuristic algorithm were designed.The first algorithm is based on column generation and is applied to solve the problem with fewer kinds and more number of sub plates.The second algorithm is better applied to solve the problem with the more number and type of sub plate which is not solvable with the exact algorithm in reasonable time.The effectiveness of the two algorithms is validated with the actual production data from a large iron and steel enterprise in China.3)Designed and developed the medium mother plate design system.The interface of the system is presented using Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 software with DotNetBar14.0.0.15 control library.The column generation heuristic algorithm is implemented by C++with cplex12.7.1;the heuristic algorithm is implemented by C++and encapsulated into a dynamic link library for C#.The system data are stored in the Microsoft SQL Server 2014 database.
