Metal copper has excellent conductivity and ductility,but its strength is low.In this paper,copper matrix composite plates were prepared by hot-rolling compound method by using T2 copper as the matrix and 304 stainless steel wire mesh with 10.89%volume fraction as reinforcement.OM,SEM and other testing methods were used to analyze the microstructure of the composite plate,and the mechanical properties of the composite plate were studied by stretching,impact,bending,hardness and fatigue tests.The conductivity of the composite plate was measured by conductivity tester.Research shows:(1)The preparation of 304 stainless steel wire mesh reinforced copper matrix composite plate was realized by hot-rolling compound.(2)A good metallurgical bonding was achieved between copper and copper,copper and steel,steel and steel.The diffusion near the interface was slight and the width of diffusion layer was about 2?m.The grain size of the cold-rolled composite was obviously elongated.(3)The tensile strength of the hot-rolled composite plate was 220MPa,and the tensile strength of the cold rolled composite plate was 311MPa,which is in accordance with the theoretical calculation.The impact toughness of the hot-rolled composite plate was 174J/cm2,and the impact toughness of the cold-rolled composite plate was 143J/cm2.The composite plate had good plasticity,and there was no crack in the interface.The hardness of T2 copper in the cold-rolled composite plate could reach 92HV,and the hardness of 304 stainless steel could reach 465HV.(4)The fatigue strength of the composite plate was enhanced by 304 stainless steel wire,and the fatigue strength of the cold-rolled composite plate was 84MPa.(5)The conductivity of the composite plate was not significantly reduced,the conductivity of hot-rolled composite plate was 82.9%IASC,and the conductivity of cold-rolled composite plate was 80.1%IACS,which is consistent with the theoretical calculation results.
