With the rapid development of machinery manufacturing industry, the research about cutting tools has attracted attention of many scholars. At present, the common way to prolong the life of cutting tools is to plate cutting tool so as to delay the tool wear.In addition, with the rapid development of photovoltaic industry, the machining of many micro components is also an important research subject of scholars.Traditional electroplated diamond micro-abrasive tools have high machining precision, but the diamond abrasive particles are only mechanically inserted in the bond.Abrasive particles are easy to fall off during grinding process, which greatly affects service life and surface processing quality of micro-abrasive tools. Therefore, this paper explores the preparation of a new type of coated micro-abrasive tools and studies the corresponding grinding and anti-wear properties. The specific research content is as follows:(1)The film forming mechanism and multi-arc ion plating coating principle were described. The structure and properties of films with different process parameters were studied.Testing methods of common coating performance were introduced.According to the experimental results and corresponding theoretical research, coating micro-abrasive wear mechanism was proved.Abrasive wear and micro volume formula was derived.(2)The influence of substrate temperature and negative bias voltage on the properties of coating was studied.Through the single factor experiments of substrate temperature and bias voltage on the coating, morphology and surface roughness, coating thickness and friction coefficient were studied.Through section line scanning and XRD analysis, the formation of TiC in the sample was determined.Coating micro-abrasive tools were prepared according to the best coating parameters obtained by study.(3)Three factors and five levels orthogonal test with different grinding depth, grinding line speed and feed speed of coated and uncoated micro-abrasive was carried out by the test and simulation study. The changing trend of grinding force, grinding temperature and wear were explored. The influence of process parameters on the machined surface was studied.(4)Wear resistance of coated micro-abrasive tools under different particle sizes and different preparation conditions was studied by wear test.By measuring the diameter of microabrasive tools and observing the surface topography of micro-abrasive tools with different removal volumes, the wear states of different micro-abrasive tools were compared. The change law of the surface morphology and roughness of the workpiece was also investigated when the volume was removed.
