With the development of machinery manufacturing industry,especially the automotive industry,the development of tools coating has become a constrains to improve processing efficiency and accuracy for the modern tools,so How to improve the accuracy and surface quality of micro scale grinding as one of the precision machining techniques is a problem to be solved.As a typical kind of electroplating grinding rod—CBN grinding rod,the life of use and benefit conditions seriously restricts the scope of its application for the traditional electroplating grinding bar.There is no chemical metallurgical bonding between the coating metal and the substrate and the abrasive surface in the electroplating grinding rod and The abrasive is only mechanically wrapped in the coating metal,so the grinding force can cause the wear of the abrasive grains when the grinding force is relatively large.Therefore the film was prepared to extend frotton service life,make the abrasive grains not only mechanically enwrapped in the matrix,and a low friction coefficient will enable grinding force reduce,so the abrasive grain is not easy to fall off.In this paper,the micro scale grinding performance of the coating is studied by the combination of experimental and theoretical analysis and Specific content is as follows:(1)The preparation of the coating was analyzed theoretically,in the case of parallel the target and the substrate theoretical model the film thickness;Analyse the influence of the coating on the thermal characteristics of the abrasive,and model the grinding force of the coating and the roughness of the machined surface,where the stress concentration is modeled in the grinding force.(2)Optimize the process parameters of coating preparation and select The optimum flow rate and radio frequency power in the experimental conditions.In addition,use coating grinding rods and uncoated grinding rods to process brass,compare and analyze processing quality and the effect of the grinding parameters.(3)Use scanning electron microscope to analyze of the composition of the film and super depth microscope and 3D surface profiler to observe and detect of the surface of the grinding.(4)Use ABAQUS finite element analysis software to carry out The finite element simulation of the coating single abrasive grain and analyze the influence of grinding parameters,such as grinding depth and grinding speed,on the coating abrasive grains.
