Since 1970s,with the guidance of cascade extraction theory,rare earth extraction technology in China has reached the advanced level in the world.With the large scale,centralization and continuous production of rare earth industry,efficient and stable automatic production line is urgently required.Rare earth smelting started late in China,the industrial production process automation equipment level is generally low,basic stay in offline analysis,manual adjustment,experience control level,which lead to a low production efficiency,large resource consumption,instable product quality and become the bottleneck which restrict the development of the rare earth industry in China.This paper based on MATLAB,establish a simulation model of multi component rare earth extraction,and program a multi component extraction simulation program.The program can analyze different rare earth extraction production line from filling material to the equilibrium concentration of rare earth component distribution.Through analyze the actual situation of one factory in Sichuan,this paper put forward and designed an extraction process with three lines,product pure La,pure Ce,mixture of LaCe and PrNd mixture.According to the rare earth extraction simulation program,the production process is feasible,and the production process is optimized.A set of optimal production process parameters is obtained.According to the optimum design,a water phase outlet is added to the actual production line to optimize the product structure.After the process adjustment,the simulation results are compared with the sample results,improved that the results of the extraction simulation are highly reliable.Based on guide toolbox in MATLAB,this paper designed and programed a dynamic prediction program of Sichuan LP line.This program including three modules:automatic design module,real-time simulation module and dynamic prediction module.The automatic design module can automatically solve the production process parameters under one kind of requirement by designing production requirements.The real-time simulation module utilizes OPC technology to complete the real-time acquisition of the flow data of the simulation program and Wincc system,which can soft measure real-time extraction concentration distribution.The dynamic prediction module can be used to monitor the concentration distribution of the production line under a fixed production parameter or in the case of a certain parameter fluctuation.According to the simulation program,LP production line of a factory in Sichuan is analyzed and predicted.For LP line,after 27 days and 22 hours,extraction tank can reach the equilibrium state.Higher concentration of charging will reduce the separation ability of each component and increase the purity of La in the extraction segment.The influence of organic phase flow rate on the LP line extraction segment is greater than the washing section.Once the organic phase discharge is lower than 280L/min,the PrNd will mixed in the middle outlet.For every 1L/min increase in lotion flow,the purity of Nd component in the organic phase increase 3%,and the purity of Ce decreased.
