In order to solve the problems in hematite anionic collector reverse flotation process,the hematite cationic reverse flotation process which has simple reagent system and can process at normal temperature flotation has been developed.The first feature of the process is the introduction of a new flotation column featuring highefficiency recovery of fine-grained minerals.Second,a new type of cationic collector GE-609 was introduced into the process,which has the advantages of low temperature resistance and good selectivity.The bubble movement behavior in collection zone of the micro-bubble countercurrent contact flotation column in the process were studied.Firstly,the bubble generated by the bubble generator in the self-designed flotation column simulation system is the research object.Through the high-speed camera recorder and image processing software,the parameters of the bubble under different operating conditions and different GE-609 concentrations are investigated.Then,the conductance method and the differential pressure method were used to study the gas holdup characteristics of the flotation column with air-water as the experimental medium,investigate the effects of aeration rate,filling medium and GE-609 on the axial and radial gas holdup in the column.The results show that with the increase of the aeration rate,the average diameter of the bubble increases,the bubble size distribution is from narrow to wide,the number of small bubbles decreases,and the bubble velocity is positively correlated with the bubble diameter.GE-609 can change the shape of the bubble.Which changes from irregular to a standard spherical shape as the concentration increases until the concentration exceeds 2.5 mg/L.In terms of suppressing the bubble diameter,the bubble Sauter diameter won't change when the concentration exceeds the critical coalescence concentration.Aeration rate in the range of 3?4L/min,the axial gas holdup from the bottom of the column to the top of the column increases with the increase of height.The local gas holdup along the radial distribution of the flotation column shows that “High in the middle and low in the edge” and more closer to the bottom of the column,more obvious this distribution is,and tends to be uniform after adding the filling medium.GE-609 can significantly increase the gas holdup in the flotation column but the persistence of reagents is unstable,which can be effectively improved by adding a certain proportion of hydrochloric acid.The research results can provide a reference for the structural optimization of the flotation column and the industrial application of the hematite column cationic reverse flotation process.Figure38;Table4;Reference 89...
