In this paper,a novel type of waterproof fatliquoring agent was prepared,its application in the production of second-layer suede leather was also discussed.The acrylic monomers were used as the raw material,azodiisobutyronitrile was used as the initiator,the polyacrylate copolymer was prepared by free radical copolymerization reaction under certain conditions.The waterproofing fatliquoring agent were prepared by mixing the polymer with other components.By changing the dosage of AIBN,reaction temperature and time,proportion of hydrophobic group,a series of waterproof fatliquoring agent WR polymer were obtained.The synthesis conditions of the polymer were optimized through the single factor experiment.For example,the proportion of hydrophobic part and the dosage of molecular weight regulator.The physical and chemical properties of the polymer waterproofing fatliquoring agent were determined.The stability of the emulsion and the particle size of emulsion under different p H conditions were measured and characterized.The application properties of WR were investigated by testing the physical and chemical properties of crust leather before and after treatment.When the dosage of molecular weight regulator is 0.8 wt%,the Mn of WR-5 is 11140,the waterproof effect is better,and the contact angle of suede leather surface is 114.5 °.When the p H value of WR-5 emulsion is 7,the average particle size of WR-5 emulsion is 537.5 nm.The physicochemical indexes of the crust leather before and after the fatliquor treatment by WR-5 were tested.The effects of the dosage of the fixing agent chromium salt and the dosage of the fatliquor on the waterproofing property were studied.The results show that when the dosage of WR-5 is 10 wt%,the dynamic waterproofing times of the greased leather are more than 30,000 times,and the static water absorption rate for 24 h is less than 35 wt%.With the increase of fixation agent dosage,the dynamic waterproof property of blank leather increases.In the application of goat upper leather,it was found that WR had little effect on the moisture permeability of the leather and had better washable performance.The self-made waterproof fatliquoring agent WR and three commercially available waterproof and fatliquoring agents A,B and C were used to analysis the development of second-layer suede upper leather.Firstly,the effects of these four fatliquoring agents on dynamic waterproof performance,static absorptivity,antisiphon performance and physical and chemical properties of leather were studied when used separately.The experimental results showed that the crust leather had better waterproof properties,tensile strength and elongation after being treated with water-proofing fatliquoring agents WR.Waterproof fatliquoring agent B has better dynamic waterproofing performance.After being treated with waterproofing fatliquoring agents A,the antisiphon property of crust leather is better,and the antisiphon is 0 cm when the dosage is 5 wt%.The contact angle measurement results show that the contact angle of water on the suede surface increases with the increase of the amount of waterproofing and fatliquor.Scanning electron microscope results showed that WR had better fiber dispersion ability.The results of elemental analysis showed that the content of Si in the fatliquoring agents B was higher.When the amount of fatliquoring agents was 15 wt%,the content of Si was 2.58 %.According to the optimization results of single experiment and the comprehensive analysis of production cost,the retanning and fatliquoring technology of second-layer suede upper leather was developed.Waterproof fatliquoring agents A and WR were selected to produce second-layer waterproof suede leather,and the enterprise standard of second-layer waterproof suede leather was formulated.Since the process began production in 2018,it has accumulated 9 million square feet of production,achieved sales revenue of 85.5million yuan,and achieved economic benefits of more than 6 million yuan.
