Surface fouling is a worldwide problem which has troubled people for many years.The common method to solve this problem is to build an antifouling coating on the surface of materials to reduce the influence of contaminants,such as protein,bacteria,algae,etc.Polysiloxane is of great concern in various applied fields due to its unique and superior properties,such as high biocompatibility,low surface energy,non-toxic,good physiological inertness,and so on.However,contaminants are easy to adhere to the surface of polysiloxane materials,causing surface fouling.Therefore,it is of great significance to develop polysiloxane coating materials with excellent antifouling capability.In this paper,two kinds of antifouling polysiloxane coatings were designed.In Chapter 2,a Quaternary Ammonium Salt Functionalized Fluorosilicone polymer(KFQ)was synthesized by Free radical telomerization.The polymer KFQ was further incorporated into poly(dimethylsiloxane)and formed an antifouling silicone coating.A tie coat was used to enhance the adhesion of the coating to the substrate.The fluoropolymer KFQ incompatible with PDMS has strong tendency to migrate onto surface during the formation of the coating,formed a self-stratifying system with antifoulant groups enriched on the surface.The modified coatings showed low surface energy(17.5?24.1 mN/m)and low elastic modulus(1.30?1.50 MPa).The removal strength of adhered pseudobarnacles on the coatings were closed to PDMS(0.40?0.50 MPa).The antifouling test showed that the modified coatings exhibited a good antibacterial properties(99.23%bacterial resistant against E.coli)and a good anti-diatom performance.The antifouling polysiloxane coatings can be expected to have potential industry application in antibacterial material field.In Chapter 3,a Quaternary Ammonium Salt Functionalized polymer with sulfobetaine zwitterions(QS)was synthesized.The polymer QS was further incorporated into poly(dimethylsiloxane)and formed an antifouling coating.The zwitterions on the surface of the coating combined with water molecules to form a hydration layer,which made the coating effectively for inhibition of protein adsorption and cell adhesion.The roughness of the coating was only 0.35?0.37 ?m.The antifouling test showed that the adsorption amount of BSA was only 9.63?19.38?g/cm2 and the adhesion amount of E.coli was decreased.The antibacterial performance against E.coli was more than 60.66%.The coating PQ3S3 with QS under a suitable molar ratio of quaternary ammonium salt group and sulfobetaine(1/1)has the best fouling resistant ability.The research opens a new way of designing antifouling coatings.
