Modern society advocates green and sustainable development.However,the basic grinding tools of the manufacturing industry have been stuck in the traditional processing methods.To solve this problem,this paper proposes a new processing technology.It's preparation of CBN grinding wheel based on laser engineered net shaping technology and it has many advantages such as high material utilization rate,high efficiency and environment protection,easy realization of automatic production.With the development of Internet technology,it has a broad development potential.In the future,it can realize wireless control and even intelligent manufacturing.Therefore,it is of great significance to study this issue.This paper focuses on the fabrication of laser engineered net shaping grinding wheel,and studies its process and mechanism.Firstly,the simulation analysis of the temperature field is carried out,and then the optimal combination of process parameters is selected by single factor experiment and multi-index orthogonal experiment.In order to determine whether the selected process parameters are suitable,the interface microstructure and the abrasive holding strength are analyzed.Finally,based on the comprehensive selection of process parameters,the laser engineered net shaping grinding wheel preparation experiment and the numerical control machining center end grinding experiment are followed and compared with the custom single-layer electroplated grinding wheel of the same specification for grinding force,grinding temperature,grinding quality and multi-stroke wear of the grinding wheel.The followings are the main research works:(1)Temperature field simulation.The temperature field simulation is carried out based on the combined heat source of the Gaussian surface heat source and the cylindrical heat source,and the influence of the laser process parameters on the temperature is analyzed.The simulation results are used to guide the selection of the process parameters.(2)Selection of process parameters.The quality evaluation parameters of laser engineered net shaping wheel are determined and the effects of laser power,scanning speed and powder feeding speed on the geometric parameters of the melt channel are analyzed.The optimal combination of process parameters is determined by multi-index orthogonal experiment range analysis,variance analysis and multi-process parameter variation law analysis?(3)Strength analysis of grinding wheel.Microstructure analysis of interface between 45 steel matrix and binder,CBN abrasive and binder is studied.EDS analysis and XRD analysis are carried out by modern scientific instruments.Metal alloys such as TiFe and TiFe2 are formed at the interface between the 45 steel matrix and the binder.The Ti-bonded TiB2 and TiN-containing Ti compounds are formed at the interface between the CBN abrasive and the binder,resulting in metallurgical bonding,which effectively enhances the strength of the grinding wheel and a heavy-duty scratch test is performed to verify the result.(4)Grinding experiment performance verification.The CBN grinding wheel is made by the preferred process parameters,and compared with the performance of the customized electroplating CBN grinding wheel.The laser engineered net shaping grinding wheel has the advantages of small grinding force,low grinding temperature and small grinding wheel wear.
