The digital market has never been so unstable due to more and more demanding users and new disruptive competitors.CEOs from most of industries investigate digitalization opportunities.Through a systematic literature review,we found that digital transformation is more than just a technological shift.In today's ever changing world,digital transformation has played a significant role in assisting organizations achieve their goals such as growth,profitability and sustainability.The digital transformation of businesses has become an inevitable course due to the fact that technological advancements in an organization mostly have a positive impact on the establishments that use them well.And so,as businesses grow,innovation becomes a key component if they are to thrive.This is to be done in an efficient and effective manner.In a growing number of countries and sectors of industry,it is considered a matter of urgency to develop all competences of the potential workforce and to increase labor productivity by working smarter.human resource will then become the backbone of the innovation process.The goal of this study is to highlight the essential capabilities or skills that workers need in the innovation process while taking full advantage of digital transformation.This study examined the innovative worker skills,the innovation process as well as how the digital transformation of Konkola copper mines can be beneficial.A quantitative research design was used to conduct this study.The concentration of this study was to measure and assess the worker skills,and discover what the worker preferences for an innovative work environment are,so as to achieve the digital transformation of Konkola Copper Mines.The most common approach of inquiry for collecting quantitative data is over and done with the use of a survey,which was engaged in this study.This study uses three research questions in order to discover and examine the technology skill levels,the innovation process,and the manner in which digital transformation can occur at Konkola Copper Mines.Six null hypotheses were also used in this study.In order to provide baseline information for the study,descriptive statistics were used to show the distribution of the characteristics as related to the independent and the dependent variables.This study presented a method for collecting data on worker's technology skills,usage patterns,and preferences for technology.By administering a survey to a random sampling of workers,substantial amounts of data were obtained and subsequently analyzed in this study.The findings were presented in Chapter Four,and the subsequent deeper analysis and conclusions,implications and recommendations are presented in the following section.Specific to this study,the majority of the participants in this sample demonstrated a high degree of skill with technology.Although skill level was not shown to have significant bearing on educational level,one could draw the conclusion that skill is derived from use,and use of technology was shown to be negatively associated with academic achievement.
