In the metallurgical industry,as an important carrier of ironmaking and steelmaking,the stable and efficient circulation of ladles is related to the rhythm of the entire production.Therefore,improving the automation and informatization level of ladle's logistics is of great significance for reducing the workload of employees in the plant area,improving the management level of the enterprise,and improving the production efficiency of the enterprise.To this end,based on the background of Northeast Special Steel Co.,Ltd.,this paper focuses on solving two outstanding problems in the tracking management of iron and steel ladle:optimization of the number of iron and steel ladles,as well as positioning and tracking of the iron and steel ladles.Firstly,the investigation found that iron ladles and steel ladles need to queue,bake empty ladle,or heavy backlog during the circulation process.The paper analyzed the circulation process of iron ladle and steel ladle.Them,based on the queuing theory of limited capacity,this paper constructs queuing models for iron ladle and steel ladle logistics.According to the actual situation and simulation technology,the influence of system capacity on the performance of queuing system is analyzed and the specific value is determined.Besides,the paper calculates and solves the performance index of the queuing system of iron ladle and steel ladle.Meanwhile,the theoretical optimal value of the number of online ladles is calculated.The optimal value is compared with the actual online ladle number,which can help the enterprise to adjust and optimize the logistics.Secondly,in view of the complexity of steel production environment,RFID positioning technology is selected to realize the entire process tracking of iron and steel ladle after comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the current common positioning technology on the market.Then,the paper analyzes the specific details and precautions of RFID positioning system hardware design.Finally,aiming at the problem of data transmission,the data transmission network and communication message are designed,and the heartbeat detection mechanism is used to ensure the reliability and accuracy of data communication.Thirdly,the software for iron ladle and steel ladle positioning and tracking system is designed and implemented.This software mainly includes the main control system,crane terminal system,and a visual display platform.Its functions cover every aspects,including dispatching instructions,feedback of execution results,interaction with MES,visual display of the workshop area and paperless reports.The software has the characteristics of simple interface,complete functions and friendly use.This paper effectively solves the practical problems existing in the ladle's positioning,tracking and management of metallurgical industry.The theoretical research has been proved feasible by the practice of Northeast Special Steel Co..Nowadays,the positioning system has been successfully deployed and operated in Northeast Special Steel Co.,and its operation is excellent and has won unanimous praise.
