In order to reduce cost and improve machining quality in micro texture machining based on elliptical vibration assisted cutting,the variable dimension elliptical vibration assisted cutting technology is taken as the research object and the design and synchronization control of variable dimensional elliptical vibration assisted cutting device integrated force sensor and displacement sensor are studied in this paper.The research contents and results of this paper include:1.An innovative variable-dimensional elliptical vibration assisted cutting device is designed.According to the design method combined with theory and simulation and the design target set,the model of the variable-dimensional elliptical vibration assisted cutting device integrated force sensor and displacement sensor is established.The elliptic trajectory and structural stiffness are modeled and simulated.The strength,mode and transient motion of the device are analyzed by simulation method and the parameters of structure are optimized.2.The performance of the elliptical vibration assisted cutting device is tested.Performance testing system is built and many different kinds of experiments are carried out,including frequency response test,amplitude test,difference of phase test,step response test,sine response test and crosstalk test.Working parameters are determined after analyzing data.3.A synchronous control method of elliptical vibration assisted cutting device based on rotation angle are proposed.The method to compensate the machining error caused by spindle speed drift is studied and the relationship between spindle angle and device amplitude is established according to machining topography.NI compactRIO controller and its input and output modules are selected as the hardware and the synchronous control module based on parallel processing are established.Then Simulation verification and in-machine debugging are carried out.4.Experiments of micro texture machining are carried out based on elliptical vibration assisted cutting system.An elliptical vibration assisted cutting system is set up and cutting experiments of micro textures including micro pit and micro groove are carried out on the machine based on this system.Results show that the designed device can meet the requirement of basic processing and the synchronous control method and control system are effective.
