The design development of pleated garment in China is not mature.Pleated clothing is less accepted in the market and occupies a very small proportion in the women's market.With the improvement of consumers' aesthetic demand and the increasing demand for individuation,pleated clothing has attracted more and more attention in the clothing market.Due to the unique texture of pleated fabrics and the avant-garde fashion of pleated garments,pleated garments have become a unique clothing category favored by designers and consumers.However,many fashion designers are not familiar with the technical theory and design application of pleated clothing.The technology of pleated clothing is special,and pleated clothing has a variety of styles.In order to make the fabric,style and style fit in the design and production,designers need to have a deeper understanding of pleated fabric and its pleated characteristics.In this paper,pleats are separated from clothing styles to study the direct perception of pleats to public consumers.The article summarizes the style characteristics of different pleats and the corresponding clothing styles.It provides reference for rational application of crimping technology,cost saving and efficiency improvement in future design.This paper uses literature research method,interdisciplinary method,semantic analysis method,questionnaire survey method,model analysis method and so on.This study is based on the theory of perceptual psychology in ergonomics and combined with the principles of Kasei Engineering.This study designed questionnaires through semantic analysis to understand consumers' cognition and visual perception of different pleat types in pleated clothing.This paper analyzes t he style tendency of different pleats in pleated clothing,so that the fabric can adapt to the style,and the clothing can fully show its corresponding style characteristics.Modeling,fabric and color are the three elements of clothing.This project studies the influence of fabric on clothing style.In this paper,the scheme process of consumers' psychological cognition experiment on pleats is discussed in detail: first,the pleated fabric is analyzed,representative pleats are extracted,and pleats samples of women's pleats are established.Then,the intended words are collected to screen out the words that conform to the intention of pleats.Semantic analysis was used to set up quantification tables and questionnaires were carried out.Based on a large number of respondents' perception evaluation of different pleats,the corresponding visual psychological cognitive vocabulary groups of different pleats were obtained.Through the construction of coordinate model,the style tendency of each pleat is summarized,and the different pleats are included into the design style of the corresponding appropriate type.Finally,through the above perceptual cognition evaluation experiment of consumers,the style tendency of the 25 representative pleats samples and the application scheme of pleats corresponding to the seven styles of "elegant","lively","modern","simple","nostalgic","neutral" and "exaggerated" were obtained.The style trend and application method of more pleated fabrics beyond sample can be deduced in turn.Finally,the design practice of pleated women's wear is carried out by applying the pleated application scheme obtained from the study.Get a distinctive style and unique pleated women's clothing.
