Personas And Its In The Design Of Elderly Bedroom Furniture Application Research

In recent years,China's population structure has undergone major changes,and a new generation of elders has emerged in a new era.” New elders” refers to the elders who reach the statutory retirement age but voluntarily persist in work or actively participate in social activities.The subjects of this study are the retired elders who are over 51 years old for women and over 55 years old for men.The new elders are characterized by education,stable income,open mind and optimism.As the carrier of daily life,furniture is an important part of the retirement life of the new elderly.But the suitable elderly furniture of the market exists a lot of problems already cannot satisfy the demand of new elder,from this they put forward new demand to furniture.This subject introduces the method of personas and applies it to the bedroom for the elderly to build a persona model and participate in solving the market problems of the furniture for the elderly.The main research results of this topic are as follows:(1)Compare and analyze the personas,user roles and user profiles,and conclude the advantages of the application of personas model in old bedroom furniture design.(2)The design process of suitable elderly furniture based on personas is obtained.The design process is shown in table 2-6.The advantage of this process is to extract design elements according to the user's FMCG preference,so as to better capture the user's aesthetic needs.(3)By analyzing the physiological,psychological and behavioral characteristics of the new elders,it is concluded that compared with the elders,the height of the elders shows a downward trend,and the physical fitness of the new elders is improved compared with that of the elders in previous years,which has a good influence on the exercise and training of intelligence.The new elders have a positive attitude;The dimension range that obtains bedroom furniture: bed face height is in 390mm-435 mm,seat sits depth 440mm-460 mm,seat inclined Angle 0-2mm,back inclined Angle is in 90mm-97 mm,armrest inside width ?450mm,the top face height of drawer inside chest is 938mm-1000 mm.(4)The variable axis of the behavior of new elderly users is constructed,and it is concluded that the goal orientation of new elder users is functional experience orientation,price function orientation and price orientation.Three personas models were constructed,and a comparative analysis of the three personas models was carried out,and it was concluded that the reason for the difference of goal orientation was the influence of users' social experience,job position,education level and income.(5)Designed a set of elderly bedroom furniture,satisfaction as high as 77%.
