Steel pipe is one of the important steel varieties as a kind of safety involving national energy and other industries.After decades of development,China has become the world's largest producer of seamless steel pipes.Therefore,the importance and superiority of energy saving,environmental protection and short process in the production of steel pipes are becoming more and more obvious.The metal tandem skew rolling process is a new short process of seamless steel pipe,which can shorten the process of seamless steel pipe production,improve the production efficiency and billet rate,reduce production costs,and has important practical significance for the production of seamless steel pipe.There are unfavorable factors such as low automation,high labor intensity,low rolling efficiency and high risk factor for tandem skew rolling piercing plug and mandrel.There is an urgent need to develop and study a set of intelligent mandrel and piercing plug replacement system,in order to achieve both rapid replacement of the piercing plug and mandrel in various states and the detection and renewal of the piercing plug and mandrel after rolling.To this end,this paper proposes a new intelligent piercing plug and mandrel replacement system to improve the rolling efficiency and the intelligence of the inclined continuous rolling equipment.The main research contents and corresponding conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Analytical method is used to solve the thread tightening force under the conditions of high rolling force and axial force in the production environment.The temperature field model is also established to analyze the influence of the high temperature generated by the heat conduction and friction of the high temperature tube blank on the fastening force of the piercing plug and other rolling tools during the rolling process.(2)Established and developed an intelligent piercing plug and mandrel replacement system for tandem skew rolling.Propose optimal solutions for equipment arrangement,processing,replacement and testing of the intelligent replacement platform built.The algorithm was simulated,and the optimal solution was finally obtained to verify the feasibility of the algorithm.(3)Use ADAMS software to analyze and calculate the movement law of the loading and unloading mandrel and the head of this mechanism to provide a theoretical basis for the working parameters and structural design parameters required by the mechanism design.At the same time,relevant selection and verification analysis and calculations have been carried out for the above-mentioned replacement equipment.(4)The experimental research mainly collects relevant data before and after the actual rolling and during the actual rolling by building the rolling force,axial force spoke-type pressure sensors and other measuring tools;by building the replacement manipulator structure model and related control circuits,Complete the mandrel replacement simulation experiment;carry out the combined experiment of the manipulator and the manipulator to achieve the precise control of the manipulator for the replacement process.After theoretical calculations,simulation and real data collection were compared and analyzed,the theoretical model is close to the experimental data,and the experimental results are in good agreement with the simulation trend.The problem-solving feasibility of the mechanism is verified,and the results can all be used as the basis for process design and development.
