Fluorite and barite are important strategic mineral resources,widely used in all aspects of social production,supporting the development of China's economy and technology.Because fluorite and barite have similar ore-forming regularity,dense dissemination particle size,and are often associated with calcite and other calcium-bearing minerals,mineral cations are of the same main group,and flotation separation is difficult,which is a common technical problem in the field of mineral processing.With fluorite,barite and calcite as the research objects,the effects of various collectors and inhibitors on the flotation separation of the three minerals were investigated through flotation behavior experiments.Contact Angle,adsorption capacity,infrared spectrum and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were used to investigate the mechanism of action on the surface of three kinds of minerals.The main research results are as follows:The effects of collector types on flotation behavior of fluorite,barite and calcite were studied.The results show that sodium oleate and sodium dodecyl sulfonate have better collecting effect on fluorite and barite under their respective optimum conditions,and sodium dodecyl sulfonate has the advantages of less consumption and better selectivity.The effects of inhibitors on flotation behavior of fluorite,barite and calcite were studied.The results show that carboxymethyl cellulose can make the floatability difference between fluorite and calcite in sodium oleate system.In the system of sodium dodecyl sulfonate,calcium lignosulfonate and carboxymethyl chitosan can increase the floatability difference between barite and calcite.When dextrin is used as depressant,fluorite and barite have good floatability while calcite is strongly inhibited.Flotation separation of fluorite,calcite and barite in the system of sodium dodecyl sulfonate as collector and dextrin as inhibitor was studied.The results show that effective separation can be achieved when the calcite ratio is low.In addition,in the test of mixed ore of fluorite and barite,the technological index of inhibited barite floating barite is better than that of inhibited barite floating barite.The surface properties of fluorite,barite and calcite before and after chemical treatment were studied by using Contact Angle,TOC,FTIR and XPS.The results show that the contact Angle between barite and calcite can be greatly reduced by carboxymethyl cellulose in sodium oleate system.In the sodium dodecyl sulfonate system,calcium lignosulfonate and carboxymethyl chitosan can dramatically reduce the contact Angle between fluorite and calcite,dextrin can enhance the hydrophilicity of calcite,but the floatability of fluorite barite is almost not affected.In sodium dodecyl sulfate system,fluorite and barite is through with sodium dodecyl sulfate-SO3-group within the molecule produces chemical reaction,and sodium dodecyl sulfate and the space steric hindrance between calcite and electronegativity is greater than on the surface of fluorite,barite,and sodium dodecyl sulfate,so as to make the sodium dodecyl sulfate has certain selectivity.When calcium lignosulfonate and carboxymethyl chitosan were used as inhibitors,fluorite and calcite adsorbed by chemical interaction with-SO3-and-COO-,respectively,while barite did not interact with them.The infrared spectra of fluorite and barite hardly changed after dextrin was applied,which indicated that dextrin hardly adsorbed on the surface of calcite,while hydrogen bonding and chemical adsorption coexisted on the surface of calcite.
