In order to solve the problem of potato damage during harvest and transportation,the potatoes without internal decay and surface damage were selected to carry out dropping tests to study the damage rule and the change rule of kinematics characteristic parameters of potatoes under different test factors.(1)Taking the drop height,the potato mass,screen surface inclination,drop direction,contact materials,potato varieties and the static temperature of potatoes after falling as test factors,the use of Minitab software for Plackett-Burman experiment design,the significant influence of above experimental factors on the damage volume of potatoes was analyzed.The test factors with significantly effecting on potato damage volume were extracted,which is drop height,potato mass,sieve surface inclination,drop direction and potato varieties.(2)The single factor experiments were conducted under different drop height,potato mass,sieve surface inclination,drop direction and potato varieties potato drop collision respectively.The damage volume of potatoes increased with the increase of the drop height and the mass of potatoes,and decreased with the increase of the variety hardness,and increased first and then decreases with the increase of the sieve surface inclination.Under the experimental conditions of different falling directions,the severity level of the potato damage were length direction,width direction and thickness direction,respectively.(3)The image of potato falling and the acceleration of screen bar were collected using the high-speed camera and the data acquisition and analyzer respectively.The peak acceleration of potato falling and the peak acceleration,velocity and displacement of screen bar were obtained by TEMA software and offline analysis software of data acquisition and analyzer.The results show that the peak value of potato impact acceleration and the peak value of impact acceleration,velocity and displacement of the screen rod increased with the increase of the drop height,and decreased with the increase of potato mass,and first increased and then decreased with the increase of the screen surface inclination angle.Under different drop directions,the peak values of potato impact acceleration and the peak values of screen bar impact acceleration,velocity and displacement were as follows: length direction < width direction < thickness direction.For the potato varieties,the peak values of potato impact acceleration were Jizhanshu 12 potato > Svante potato > Holland 15 potato > Holland 14 potato > xue Chuan red potato respectively.The peak values of the impact acceleration,velocity and displacement of the screen rod were Jizhanshu 12 potato > Holland 15 potato > Holland 14 potato> Svante potato > xue Chuan red potato.(4)The correlation analysis of potato damage volume and kinematics characteristics of potato and screen rod was carried on using SPSS software.Under different height and screen surface inclination conditions,the peak values of potato damage volume and potato falling impact acceleration,the peak values of impact acceleration,velocity and displacement of the screen rod were highly correlated respectively,and no correlation was been found in the changing process of potato varieties.Under different potato weights and falling directions,the potato damage volume was highly correlated with the peak of potato impact acceleration,and didn't have significant correlation with the peak of screen rod impact acceleration,the peak of screen rod velocity and the peak of screen rod displacement.
