The Living Transmission And Commercial Application Research Of Chinese Traditional Grass Cloth

Since industrial era is coming soon,the traditional grass cloth which acts as Chinese intangible cultural heritage,has shrunk its development due to its own shortcomings such as poor comfort and handicraft technology restrictions.But at the same time,with the continuous enrichment in material living,public spiritual pursuit is not only satisfied with the large-scale unified production for mechanical products,but also the civilians begin to realize the irreplaceable advantages and values for traditional handicraft.Therefore,they start to focus on the development and inheritance for intangible cultural heritage.It is relatively urgent for progressing traditional grass cloth.The key to solve the problem lies in how to integrate traditional handicraft with modern art,explore its value in the field of modern commercial application and combine it with modern life style,so as to carry on the lively inheritance.This paper expounds the technological value,cultural value,development status and existing problems in traditional grass cloth from the perspective of diachronic and synchronic inheritance by means of literature research and multidisciplinary association research.Combining with the experimental research method,on the basis of retaining its original "gene",the innovative grass cloth is produced from three aspects,namely,innovative design thinking,new material selection and improved technology.Finally,the application of traditional handicraft in luxury brands and lifestyle brands is analyzed with the case study method,and it explores the feasibility of the application for innovative grass cloth in luxury brands and the embodiment of its value in lifestyle brands,so as to better protect and inherit intangible cultural heritage.Under the fusion and innovation of traditional grass cloth with modern design,material and technology,this paper has changed the traditional grass cloth comfort,increased its functionality and broadened its application field.The innovation of the design and development for the grass cloth could meet the people's yearning for a better life,which adapts to the main melody of the social trend while inheriting its traditional handicraft,so that adding new vitality in Chinese traditional textile industry.
