Energy,as the material basis for human society's survival,plays an important role in human survival.However,with the large-scale development and utilization of energy,many countries and regions that rely on the exploitation of natural resources to develop their economies have gradually experienced exhaustion of natural resources,Deterioration of the ecological environment,stagnant economic growth or even regression.In China,coal in resource-based regions is one of the important energy sources for local social production activities,and it occupies the dominant position in the local economic aggregate structure.However,my country's resource-based provinces still have a serious single resource industry structure and low industrial technology content.Product added value is not high,the level of the industrial chain is low,etc.At this stage,China's economy has entered a new normal.Improving economic performance and development quality is a major issue that must be resolved as soon as possible in resource-based regions and even all regions of the country.Based on this,this article analyzes the relationship between coal resource in-situ conversion rate and economic development efficiency and its mechanism from the utilization of coal resources in the region,and can deeply understand the internal relationship between coal resource in-situ conversion rate and economic development efficiency.,To provide decision-making basis for local governments in energy policy and economic development policy selection.This article first sorts out the related literature on resource regional development,abundant resources development and utilization,and economic development efficiency at home and abroad.Secondly,17 provinces with abundant coal resources are selected from the whole country as the research object.Using the DEA-Malmquist index method to calculate the total factor growth rate(ie,economic development efficiency)of 17 provinces,and using Zhou Xijun's research method to calculate the self-utilization rate of coal resources(ie,coal resources in-situ)Conversion rate)[34],by exploring the temporal and spatial evolution of the coal resources in-situ conversion rate and economic development efficiency of the sample provinces from 2006 to 2017,infer the spatial correlation between the two;again,through the Moran index and the Moran scatter point Figures,Lagrangian multipliers and other related tests verify the spatial correlation and spatial dependence of coal resources in-situ transformation;the model suitability test and Hausman test determine the choice of spatial Dubin model for empirical analysis,and conduct direct effects and Decomposition of indirect effects,analysis of the impact of coal resource conversion rate on the efficiency of economic development.Finally,by comparing and selecting a relatively optimal spatial measurement model,the conduction mechanism of the coal resource conversion rate on the spot affecting the efficiency of economic development is studied.The research results show that the transformation of coal resources in situ has geographic correlation and external spillovers on the efficiency of economic development.In addition to the influence of local policies or resource endowments,the local transformation of coal resources will also affect each other due to spatial correlation due to geographical proximity.The direct and indirect effects of the local transformation of coal resources on the efficiency of economic development The effect coefficients are all positive and statistically significant,indicating that the driving force of the economic development efficiency of each region is not only from the local coal resource conversion level,but also from the neighboring region's coal resource conversion level;at the same time;This article also confirms that material capital input,technological input level,urbanization process,and government intervention are the transmission mechanisms for the in-situ transformation of coal resources to affect the efficiency of economic development.The in-situ transformation of coal resources affects the material capital input,technological input,and urbanization of the sample provinces.The process can play a very good pulling effect.At the same time,it has a reverse inhibitory effect on government intervention,and then affects the efficiency of economic development by influencing these four transmission mechanisms.
