Our country is rich in sepiolite resources.Approximately,sepiolite resources account for 80%in the Hunan Xiangtan area.With the rapid increase in demand for high grade sepiolite in recent years,quantitative analysis and purification research are significant for the development and utilization of sepiolite resources.At present,the natural settlement method is the most common way to purify sepiolite,but this method has a long production time and a low recovery rate.Flotation is one of the effective methods for fine mineral separation.However,few scholars at home and abroad have studied sepiolite flotation.Therefore,this paper uses the natural settlement method to carry out the study on the purification of sepiolite,while focusing on the study of sepiolite flotation.Hunan Xiangtan sepiolite is often accompanied by talc,and the chemical composition of sepiolite and talc minerals are the same.Traditional fluorescence and chemical methods are not accurate enough for quantitative analysis.The K-value method is highly accurate and simple to operate but requires ultra-pure mineral samples.Extremely difficult to obtain.Therefore,this article first uses the K value method to quantitatively analyze and verify its accuracy.The main research results of the thesis are as follows:(1)Firstly,study the technological mineralogical characteristics of sepiolite mine in Xiangtan area of Hunan Province.The results show that the raw sepiolite ore is mainly composed of sepiolite,talc,quartz,and calcite,of which the grade of sepiolite is 28.67%;associated gangue minerals.The content of calcite and quartz is relatively high.Scanning electron microscopy analysis showed that the morphology of the sepiolite monomer was short rod-shaped and pore-shaped,and there was talc adhesion.Infrared spectroscopy analysis shows that the surface of sepiolite is mainly composed of silicon-oxygen bonds and magnesium-oxygen bonds,among which the low and medium frequency region is the strongest absorption region of the sepiolite mine.(2)Take the strongest diffraction peak of sepiolite(d110)at 12.27 nm as the characteristic peak,use corundum as the reference material and the strongest diffraction peak of corundum(d113)at 2.08 nm as the characteristic peak,and use the peak area at the characteristic peak as the diffraction intensity.Value method formula:(?)The specific strength K value of sepiolite is 3.40.Then prepare 5 kinds of sepiolite mixed samples with certain content,and need to add a certain quality of corundum,measure the intensity of the sepiolite and corundum diffraction peaks in the mixed sample,and calculate the theoretical sepiolite content by using the formula of K value method.The absolute error between the theoretical content of the stone and the true content of corundum is?1.8%.(3)Taking the yield of the under-the-325 mesh sieve as the evaluation index of the dispersion effect,for the sepiolite ore dispersion treatment,the optimal dispersion conditions are determined as follows:the dispersant is sodium hexametaphosphate,the dosage is 2‰;the slurry concentration is 12%;The mashing time is 35 min;the mashing speed is 1200 r/min,and the yield under the sepiolite sieve reaches 89.31%.The natural settlement and purification of the dispersed treated slurry showed the best effect after 36 hours of settlement.The sepiolite concentrate with a grade of 89.21%was obtained,and the recovery rate was 41.28%.(4)Sepiolite was purified by flocculation-flotation,and the influence of the dosage of medicament,pulp temperature,and pH value on the flotation effect of sepiolite was studied,and the optimal flotation conditions were determined:the dosage of flocculant polyacrylamide 0.6 mg/L;inhibitor sodium oleate dosage 150 mg/L;collector sodium oleate dosage 60 mg/L;pulp 40?;pulp pH 4.15.After one rough selection and three selections,a sepiolite concentrate with a grade of 85.34%was obtained,and the recovery rate reached 62.72%.This artcle includes 41 pictures,12 tables,and 94 references.
