Seamless metal pipes are widely used in many important fields such as engineering, marine, petroleum, etc. The traditional thick-walled pipe has a long production process,a large area used for production, and a high equipment cost. Therefore, this article proposes a method based on additive manufacturing. The new process of applying pressure while stacking layers shortens the production process, saves time and space, and can be used to produce thick-walled pipes of various sizes. This paper takes 6061 aluminum alloy as the research object, and mainly studies the process of the initial casting-rolling process and the subsequent remelting combined casting-rolling process.Firstly, using Fluent and Abaqus software to perform numerical simulation on the initial casting and rolling process.Using Fluent to analyze the temperature field and velocity field, the influence of pouring temperature and casting speed on the position of Kiss point and the flow state of metal in the molten pool is obtained.Through the analysis of different parameters, the appropriate pouring temperature and casting speed parameters are obtained.Using Abaqus to analyze the stress of the metal billet during the rolling process, the stress distribution law under different process parameters and the metal deformation during the rolling process are obtained.Secondly,a numerical analysis of the subsequent remelting and casting process is carried out.Comparing the influence of relevant process parameters on the temperature field of the molten pool and the formed part during the remelting process, and comparing it with the solidification of the initial casting and rolling process, the difference in the location of Kiss points in the two processes is obtained. At the same time, the influence of pouring temperature on the flow of metal in the molten pool during the remelting process is analyzed.Explore the behavioral mechanism of non-welded continuous production of the same metal, compare the stress distribution and the deformation of the slab during the rolling process under different process parameters, and the difference in the deformation of the slab and the law of stress changes during the two rolling processes. From the point of view of temperature and stress and strain, the possibility of metallurgical bonding between the cladding metal and the base metal during the remelting and casting process is analyzed.Thirdly,a confirmatory experiment was carried out on the remelting and casting process.Through metallographic analysis of the cross-section of the base metal and the cladding metal,it was found that metallurgical bonding can occur between the molten metal and the formed part during the remelting process. The subject process method can produce dense seamless pipes.
