Essential oils are used to volatilize their own small molecules to achieve functional functions. They are popular with people for their pleasant aroma, antibacterial and health care functions, and are often used in medical, health, food, cosmetics, clothing and other fields. But the disadvantages of essential oils are strong volatility and instability, limiting their applications.Microencapsulation of essential oils is an effective way to solve this problem. At the same time, with the improvement of people's living standards, the demand for functional textiles is higher and higher.Microencapsulation technology is also widely used in the finishing of functional textiles. In this paper, aromatic microcapsules were prepared by in-situ polymerization to explore the preparation process of shell materials, and then the aromatic antibacterial microcapsules were synthesized by the optimal shell preparation process. Finally, the aromatic antibacterial fabrics were prepared by finishing them on the fabrics by dip rolling method. The details are as follows:1.In order to explore the best synthesis process of shell materials,PMMA microcapsules and poly(MMA-co-TMPTA)/fragrance microcapsules were prepared by in-situ polymerization using methyl methacrylate(MMA)as monomer and three hydroxyl-methyl propane three acrylate(TMPTA)as co-monomer.A series of poly(MMA-co-TMPTA)/fragrance microcapsules with different core / shell ratios were prepared. The microcapsules of essential oils were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),laser particle size analyzer, thermogravimetric analyzer(TGA),pyrolysis gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(PGC-MS)and electronic nose(E-nose).The results showed that the poly(MMA-co-TMPTA)/fragrance microcapsules were pomegranate, rough and concave, with a particle size between 10-20 ?m,and had good thermal stability. When the TMPTA content was40%,the encapsulation efficiency reached 90.8% and the sustained release property was good. When the core/shell ratio is 1.5?1,the performance of poly(MMA-co-TMPTA)/ fragrance microcapsules is the best.2.Citronella oil, which has both aromaticity and antibacterial properties, was selected as the core material, and the aromatic antibacterial microcapsules were prepared by in-situ polymerization with the optimized shell material ratio. In order to improve the antibacterial activity of citronella oil, silver nanoparticles were loaded on the shell of microcapsules, and the synergistic effect of citronella oil and silver particles was used to enhance the antibacterial effect.By adjusting the core-shell ratio parameters, the optimum preparation conditions were summarized.XRD,SEM,FTIR and TGA were used to characterize the phase, morphology, structure and thermal properties of different kinds of aromatic antibacterial microcapsules and silver loaded aromatic antibacterial microcapsules with different core-shell ratio. The results showed that the silver loaded aromatic antibacterial microcapsules were pomegranate shaped and had obvious depression;with the increase of the mass ratio of core to shell, the particle size increased, and the size ranged from 2 to 20 ?m.The results showed that the microcapsules containing citronella oil had antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, and the effect was better when the microcapsules were loaded with silver.3.The above aromatic antibacterial microcapsules and polyacrylic acid adhesive were mixed in different proportions to prepare finishing solution, and then the fabrics were treated and modified by two-step two rolling process to produce a series of aromatic antibacterial fabrics. The properties of the fabric were tested. It was found that the finished fabric still had fragrance release after being placed for three months. When the concentration of microcapsules was 6.75%,the finished fabric had good antibacterial activity. The antibacterial rate of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli was 99.9% and 97.6%,respectively.After washing test, the results show that the finished fabric still reaches the standard of 70% antibacterial rate after washing 10 times.
