The single shaft screw press is an important equipment for processing vegetable oil by physical pressing method.It can press rapeseed,soybean,peanut,flaxseed,palm and other oil crops to obtain vegetable oil.At present,the core parameters of single shaft screw press are mainly based on experience,and lack of theoretical support,has the long development period and high manufacturing cost.In this study,the bottomless cylinder test of rapeseed-oil mixture has been simulated by using the discrete element simulation software EDEM,and the contact parameters of rapeseed-oil mixture needed in this study have been virtually calibrated.Then the simulation model of the transmission process of 6YL-76 single shaft screw press has been established by compiling the API program of EDEM.Under the condition of different screw depth and arc radius of squeeze ring,the movement form of rapeseed-oil mixture particles and daily capacity,one of the important performance indexes of 6YL-76 single shaft screw press,have been simulated.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Among the contact parameters of rapeseed-oil mixture,the significant parameters are particle-particle rolling friction coefficient,particle-particle static friction coefficient and particle-stainless steel static friction coefficient.The calibration values are 0.26,0.213 and0.336,respectively.The relative error between the actual stacking angle and the simulation stacking angle guided by the calibration parameters is 1.6%.(2)Screw depth can enhance the mixing effect of rapeseed-oil mixture in a certain range,but when screw depth continues to increase,the gain effect on promoting mixing will be stagnant,and will not continue to increase synchronously;Increasing screw depth can obviously promote the increase of daily capacity.(3)The influence of arc radius of squeeze ring on the mixing effect of rapeseed-oil mixture particles is weaker than that of screw depth;Increasing arc radius of squeeze ring can promote the increase of daily capacity.(4)This research method can effectively improve the transmission efficiency of single shaft screw press.Considering the mixing effect and daily capacity,the optimal combination of screw depth and arc radius of squeeze ring was determined.After optimization,the daily processing capacity is increased by 18.26%.
