At present,the electronic information,medical and other technical fields supported by precision molds are developing rapidly.The precision of electrode machining in precision molds is constantly improving,and the delivery cycle is constantly shortening,The application of mold electrode flexible manufacturing cell has become a main development trend of precision mold manufacturing technology.As an integrated technology,it mainly includes high-speed milling technology,electrical machining technology,quick change fixture,robot technology,three coordinate measurement technology,industrial control and so on.In Chengdu Aeronautic Polytechnic,the flexible manufacturing cell of mould electrode for productive training has been built to form a complete application system with advanced industry level.It is of great significance to carry out productive training and applied scientific research of manufacturing and equipment based on the flexible manufacturing cell for professional construction and personnel training.This paper mainly includes the following contents: Aiming at the mold electrode,through the research of flexible manufacturing cell design,industrial robot technology,industrial control and communication methods,the development and trial operation of mold electrode flexible manufacturing cell are completed,and the automatic operation of mold electrode processing and detection is realized.The main work and conclusions are as follows.(1)The overall design,hardware selection and equipment interconnection architecture of flexible manufacturing cell for die electrode were completed.(2)The mechanical structure of the industrial robot system for flexible manufacturing cell of die electrode was designed,including material rack and end effector.(3)Developed the unit control system software,including the central control management software,PLC software,industrial robot software,Manufacturing Execution System.(4)The installation and debugging of the unit have been completed,and the scheduled functions of the unit have been realized.
