With the rapid development of the mold industry,mold production needs to have higher manufacturing efficiency,shorter production cycle and higher processing accuracy.At the same time,the trend of labor shortage and cost increase is becoming more and more obvious.The introduction of automation technology in the mold production process is an effective solution to achieve these requirements and reduce costs.EDM is an important part of the mold manufacturing cycle,and the electrode of EDM has the advantages of small size,light weight,simple structure and standard fixture.So the EDM is suitable for the introduction of automatic processing technology.In this paper,the mold electrode was taken as the research object and an electrode automatic measurement system was designed for its measurement step.Firstly,the actual requirements of electrode automatic measurement are analyzed,and the overall structure of electrode automatic measurement system is designed,and the main work flow of the system is established.Then,In order to extract the effective information which reflect the state change of system from a large number of irregular data,a three-layer model of system events was established by researching and applying the complex event processing.The data obtained from the hardware was filtered and packaged layer by layer to generate basic events and higher level of complex events.By the timely and accurate response to the basic events and complex events,the effective control of the hardware was realized.In order to ensure the normal and effective work of the robot,the task scheduling mechanism of the robot is put forward.By analyzing the common points of the motion trajectory of the robot under four kinds of tasks,the motion trajectory of the robot is planned.The robot trajectory was divided into several stages by key point.Different tasks are completed by combining different trajectories stages.In the measurement subsystem,for the requirement that different electrodes perform different measurement strategy,the automatic detection control route of coordinate measuring machine was established.The measurement system was divided into two parts which were measurement template parameterization and operation of automatic control.Finally,complete the specific development of the system by applying the relevant technology,and the completed system was in motion in the mold factory site for practical application,which verifies the effect of the system in reducing the measurement personnel and improving the measurement efficiency.After the application of the system,the measurement staff reduced from 4 to 1 mobile personnel,and the measurement efficiency increased by 50%.
