Vertical storage tank is widely used in petrochemical industry, which is the primary task of storing oil and various liquids.Generally, the storage tanks store inflammable, explosive and dangerous toxic media.Once the storage tanks are damaged under the earthquake load,it is easy to cause serious local environmental pollution and economic losses. At present, the development trend of storage tanks is floating,large-volume,and the related issues of seismic resistance and isolation of storage tanks are the focus of current research.Based on this,a 3D solid model of a 150,000 m~3 non-anchored storage tank was established using the finite element software ADINA.Factors such as fluid-solid coupling effects, large liquid level sloshing, geometric nonlinearity, state nonlinearity, and material nonlinearity were considered. The vertical storage tank was numerically calculated and analyzed under seismic load excitation. It mainly includes the following aspects of research work:1.Finite element software ADINA was used to establish the finite element model of large vertical non-anchored storage tank, and its inherent characteristics were analyzed, including liquid level slog mode and fluid-solid coupling mode. The influence of different liquid storage depths on its inherent characteristics was discussed, and the reliability of the model was verified by tank design specification.2.Considering the large vertical storage tank under the 8 degree zone of a type?site, the dynamic response of the storage tank under horizontal and vertical and horizontal excitation is studied, including a reference response from the bottom of the tank, the radial displacement and acceleration, high sloshing waves, all of the stress analysis of hydrodynamic pressure and the tank wall. The research shows that the vertical seismic load component exacerbates the dynamic response of the storage tank, and its influence cannot be ignored in actual work.3.The seismic response characteristics of non-floating roof storage tanks and floating roof storage tanks under simultaneous horizontal and vertical loads are studied, and the influence of floating roofs on the entire storage tank system is compared and analyzed.Studies have shown that the floating roof can reduce the liquid level sloshing wave height of the storage tank and the lift response of the tank bottom, but the effects on radial displacement, acceleration, and tank wall stress are not significant.4.The influence of the isolation layer on the seismic response of the vertical storage tank under the 8 degree zone of the type III site was explored. The comparison of the isolation period and damping ratio parameters of the vertical storage tank under the two-way seismic load excitation. The influence of the system is given by the liquid wave sloshing wave height, equivalent stress, radial displacement and acceleration before and after the tank isolation. The results show that the liquid level sloshing wave height of the tank after isolation is amplified, which indicates that the isolation cannot effectively control the liquid level sloshing wave height of the tank. After the tank is isolated, the vibration isolation effect of the tank is the best when the isolation period and the damping ratio are between 2-3 s and 0.2-0.4,respectively.
