As one of the ancient Chinese costumes, the cloak had different manifestations in the course of Chinese history. It existed in different fields and was also worn by people with different identities. In the historical development of China, the cloak garment evolved from the costume of the gods to the costume of the world.Focusing on the cloak in the Ming Dynasty, this paper sorts out and analyzes the evolution process of the cloak in China,as well as the influence of the cloak on the clothing of surrounding countries and regions, based on the historical context and spatial distribution system of the heritage of the cloak. The Ming cloak influenced the shape of the Manchu cloak in the Qing Dynasty.Through the investigation of a large number of cloaks-related objects and collections in the Palace Museum,as well as relevant materials,it can be found that the Han culture represented by the cloak-garment has exerted an influence on the Manchu people's cloakgarment in terms of the decorative patterns and shape of clothing. The Manchu cloak is different from the traditional Han cloak-wearing,which is tied on the front of the garment, and changed to button on the right front. The pattern of the garment inherits the expression technique of the Han cloak-wearing pattern to convey emotion and meaning. The cloak of Manchu is not only a representative of the cultural exchange between Manchu and Han nationalities, but also the most gorgeous garments of the empress and her concubines in the imperial palace of the Qing Dynasty. The Ming Dynasty's cloaks had some influence on the Chosun Dynasty's cloaks and Japanese Haori. The Ming Dynasty was the last ruling dynasty of the Han nationality in China.During this period,Confucianism developed rapidly and foreign trade and exchanges were frequent. In the political, economic and cultural exchanges with the Ming Dynasty, the Lee dynasty on the Korean Peninsula was influenced by the Ming Dynasty and imitated the Ming Dynasty in governing ideas and costume system. The cloak of this period spread to the Korean Peninsula and became a tool of the ruling class in the Joseon dynasty of the Lee family.Japan at the same time was heavily influenced by Chinese Confucianism, and a Japanese Haori, similar in shape to a Ming cloak, was woven into the clothing of the samurai class.Originally used as a riding jacket for Japanese samurai,Haori became popular among the muromachi people, farmers and other general public after the muromachi period. On the basis of in-depth understanding of the cultural characteristics of the Ming Dynasty's cloak, this paper systematically sorts out the historical changes of the Ming Dynasty's cloak, and systematically analyzes the influence of the Ming Dynasty's cloak on the shape and pattern of the Korean Dynasty's cloak and the Japanese Haori. The Korean Peninsula learned from the political system and costume system of the Ming Dynasty in the period of the Lee Dynasty. From the aspects of the classification, shape, color change and sleeve type change of the Chosun Dynasty's cloakings, this paper explores the different types of cloakings worn by different classes of the Chosun Dynasty in the Korean society by combining Korean ancient books and archaeological reports. It also concludes that in order to adapt to the status of different classes of people, the cloaks can be divided into wide and tight shapes, and the sleeves can also be wide and narrow. In the course of history, the evolution of the color and sleeve shape of the cloaks in the Joseon Dynasty made it an important manifestation of the modernization of the Korean Peninsula. At the same time, the design, function, material and style of Japanese haori are systematically analyzed, and the pattern, inner design and cultural value of Japanese haori are expounded, and compared with the Ming Dynasty haori is summarized.Based on the analysis of style, function, etymology and historical materials,it can be seen that Haori and cloak-garment share the same lineage and have been deeply influenced by the shape and culture of cloak-garment during the Morimachi period to the present day.On the basis of reading a large number of relevant documents and collecting and drawing pictures, this paper summarizes the historical development, evolution, shape and characteristics of the cloak in the Ming Dynasty by means of archaeological reports and field visits.Understanding of the features of the Ming dynasty to ride the clothes, the interpretation of the Ming dynasty to ride to ride to the north Korean dynasty clothing and Japanese feather knitting,in order to improve the cultural confidence and inherit the clothing culture, spreading good clothing culture, innovation of traditional costume in a new form of modern performance has positive significance to the contemporary clothing development, can also inspire national pride and patriotic enthusiasm.
