The hydrophobic and oleophobic anti-smudge coating,a functional coating,can help substrates to keep the surface clean and repel smudge.Lower surface energy and higher crosslinking density are the characteristics of anti-smudge coating.Base on the acrylic resin water dispersion(WPA)and the silicone-containing modified acrylic resins(WSPA)with lower surface energy as basic resins,the hydrophobic and oleophobic anti-smudge coating was prepared by WSPA and cross-linking with amino resin.Acrylic resin water dispersion(WPA)was prepared solution polymerization by the use of methyl methacrylate(MMA),hydroxypropyl methacrylate(HPMA),butyl acrylate(BA),acrylic acid(AA)and isobornolipid methacrylate(IBOMA)as basic monomers.The effect of the above monomer ratio and synthesis process conditions on the performance of WPA was studied.The experimental results showed that the WPA had a light yellow and transparent appearance,a particle size of 44 nm,a viscosity of 1286 m Pa*s,and good storage stability when the experimental condition that glass transition temperature(Tg)was 25℃,with IBOMA contents of 6 wt%,HPMA contents of 20 wt%,AA contents of 7wt% and AIBN contents of 1.2 wt%.The coating solidified of WPA with preferably properties,that HB hardness,2 level adhesion,1 mm level bending and transparent and not sticky.Silicone-containing acrylate oligomer(PDMS-g-HPMA)was prepared from hydroxyl-terminated polydimethysiloxane(PDMS-OH),hydroxypropyl methacrylate(HPMA),3-isocyanatomethyl-3,5,5-trimerhylcyclohexy isocyanate(IPDI).Then,a series of silicone-containing modified acrylic resins(WSPA)were prepared from WPA and different contents of PDMS-g-HPMA.The experimental results showed that the WSPA4 had even distribution with particle size of 208 nm and good storage stability when the PDMS-g-HPMA contents of 4 wt%.The coating solidified of WSPA4 with preferably properties,that H hardness,1 level adhesion,1 mm level bending,excellent water and acid resistance.The water and hexadecane contact angles were 100.6 °and 26.6 °,showing good hydrophobic and oleophobic properties.Moreover,the tensile strength of the coating was 15.6 MPa and elongation at break reached 356%.Under the same weight loss rate,the thermal decomposition temperature of the modified coating was higher than that of the unmodified coating.Water-based anti-smudge coatings was prepared from high temperature cross-linking curing by the use of WSPA4 as basic resin and amino resin as curing agent.The experiment result showed that when the amino resin contents of 30 wt%,the water-based anti-smudge coating had excellent properties,that 3H hardness,0 level adhesion,1 mm level bending and50 kg*cm impact resistance.The contact angles of water and hexadecane were 102.9°and30.9°,and the rolling angles were 35.6° and 9.2°.Through testing,the coating demonstrated excellent anti-ink ability,chemical stability,anti-fingerprint,anti-graffiti,self-cleaning ability,abrasion resistance.
