In this study,a variety of hydroxyl-containing water-dispersible acrylic resin products were prepared by solution polymerization,and the preparation process and parameters of the water-based acrylic base resin were determined.Then,the synthesis process and production formula of a variety of modified resins were obtained due to optimization of the long-chain branched monomers and functional monomers,which is based on the basic resin.Finally,a variety of two-component acrylic coating products were successfully prepared.The main research contents and conclusions of the thesis are as follows:(1)By using the solution polymerization method to prepare the water-based acrylic base resin,the confirmation of the synthesis conditions of resin and performance parameters(the acid value,hydroxyl value,glass transition temperature and so on)contributed to the obtainment of the best experimental parameters for it.The experiments results show that the hardness of the prepared best basic resin product is 2H,the gloss is 90±2Gu,and the impact resistance,flexibility,and adhesion performance are all up to level 2.(2)It was modified for the resin by using four kinds of long chain monomers isooctyl methacrylate(2-EHA),lauryl methacrylate(LMA),stearyl methacrylate(SMA),and behenyl methacrylate(BMA).The performance of the prepared product was tested according to the national standard HG/T 4758-2014,and the advanced techniques(IR,STM,DSC and other characterization methods)for the resin and paint film studies were employed to characterize performance.Among them,the LMA modified resin has a hardness of 2H.And its impact resistance,flexibility,and adhesion properties have reached level 1,which achieved the balance between hardness and flexibility;it will not fail when placed in water for 20 hours,and will not fail when placed in salt water for 120 hours,and the static water contact angle is85.308°.Therefore,the paint film shows better water resistance and hydrophobicity.(3)It was modified for the resin by using four functional monomers :glycidyl methacrylate(GMA),isobornyl methacrylate(IOBMA),cyclohexyl methacrylate(CHMA)and styrene(St).The modification of resin with functional monomer leads to the improvement for the performance of the paint film in aspects of gloss,mechanics,and protection.The prepared resin products were studied for the preparation of coating products and the formulation of the coating product was designed.The performance of the coating product was analyzed and researched and the results show that: the modification of resin with LMA possesses good water resistance and protection properties,which is suitable for metal protection,etc.;the modification of resin with GMA shows good gloss,which can be used for road sign protection,etc.;the modification of resin with IOBMA exhibits better friction and scratch resistance and has widely application in aspect of high tower protection;the modification of resin with CHMA has good light transmittance and aging resistance and is suitable for varnish preparation;the modification of resin with St is cheap and is suitable for cheap steel structure anticorrosive paint.
