The production process of sand cores for engine block casting is complicated,and the environment of the production workshop is harsh.This topic takes the sand core production line for engine cylinder block casting as the research object,and learns the production process and sand core production of different types of sand cores for engine block casting.The core making related equipment in the workshop,combined with the sand core production unit's requirements for the transformation of the sand core production line,designed and studied the transformation plan of the sand core production line,and performed simulation analysis,and finally implemented the transformation plan.Through the on-site understanding of the production process of sand cores,the12 types of sand cores produced by the production unit are divided into two categories: flat casting products and vertical casting products.Among them,the flat casting products contain 10 types of sand cores.The production process is simple and it is also the main product of old production line.The vertical casting product contains two kinds of sand cores,and the production process is relatively complicated.Putting the vertical casting sand cores into the new production line is also one of the important needs of the production unit.Combining different sand core production processes,and considering that the existing core making machines,drying furnaces and other equipment are fixed and unable to move,two schemes of automatic production of flat casting products and automatic production of vertical casting products have been formulated and integrated,some tools and fixture needs to be replaced,and the main automation equipment such as robots and turntables are shared in the two programs,and the automation program for the flexible production of different types of sand cores is finally determined.In order to verify the feasibility of the transformation plan of the sand core production line for block casting,combined with the design work of the production line's non-standard automation equipment,the plan was simulated and verified,and it was finally confirmed that the plan layout was reasonable,and the selection of key equipment such as robots was reasonable.The posture can meet the expected use requirements,and the production cycle can meet the requirements of sand core production.The transformation plan of the sand core production line for engine block casting has been successfully implemented.The transformed sand core production line has been put into use.All the parameters of the production line can meet the production needs of the sand core production unit,and the transformation design of the production line has reached the expected goal.This subject has successfully realized the compatible production of multivariety sand cores for engine cylinder block casting,which can be quickly switched in the production of different products,and has realized a mixed-line production mode in some similar products,which reduces production costs,improves production efficiency and reduces the number of workers.
