Fast food take-out has entered the daily life.However,the improvement of the green and sustainable packaging of fast food take-out is relatively slow.Most of the studies still remained at the methodological and theoretical levels.A systematic and comprehensive research need to be developed.In this study,we chose the fast food takeout packaging as the research object.The main conclusion of this study are as follows:(1)We have investigated the development of market investigation and research and user needs of fast food take-out packaging.Combined with the relevant green theories and sustainable development,we have redefined and summarized the concept of green and sustainable development of fast food takeout packaging.The ecological,economic,practical,scenario-based,guiding,continuous improvement of design principles have been proposed.(2)According to the above design principles,the improvement of design practice of single fast food take-out packaging and combined fast food take-out packaging of hamburgers,French fries and fried chicken were carried out,Finally,the improvement of packaging cost of fast food take-out packaging was all less than 3 yuan.(3)The practical application performance of the improved fast food takeaway package was performed by transportation performance test.The results showed that the top surface of the improved hamburger take-out packaging was placed horizontally in the optimal transportation state.The compressive strength was 61.08 N and its corresponding shape variable was 5.87 mm.The compressive performance of the take-out packaging of French fries with the rear opening was better than that with the front opening.The compressive strength of the two sides of the fried chicken take-out packaging after improvement is about 1.8 times that before the improvement.The side compressive strength of the combined fast food take-out packaging is 307.11 N.In addition,the fast food take-out packaging should pay attention to avoid the top drop.The improved fast food take-out packaging can effectively protect the food inside from shock and vibration damage.In this study,the concept of green and sustainable development have been applied to the packaging design of fast food take-out,which can provide theoretical and practical basis for enterprises to formulate a systematical design scheme.
