The rubber seal is an important part of sealing the oil spill in the chamber and preventing dust from entering.At present,rubber seals are mainly facing the problem of aging failure.Hydrogenated nitrile rubber(HNBR)is a product of selective hydrogenation of nitrile rubber(NBR)on the basis of NBR.HNBR has a large number of cyanide groups in its side chain,which is a polar rubber.The existence of these cyanide groups makes HNBR have excellent oil resistance,medium resistance and aging resistance.HNBR has excellent performance and is widely used in automotive,petroleum,aviation and other fields.This paper focuses on the experimental exploration of seals used in aircraft hydraulic system,aiming to improve the mechanical properties and low temperature properties of hydrogenated nitrile rubber by adjusting the formula system,so that it can be applied in a wide temperature domain and longtime contact with oil medium in the working environment,and achieve its maximum application value.It was found that the presence of the third monomer in the structure of the rubber affected the vulcanization of the rubber,and the properties of the rubber changed greatly after aging.Secondly,the influence of curing system on mechanical properties and oil resistance of HNBR was studied.The mechanical properties and oil resistance of HNBR under two curing systems were tested.The results showed that the comprehensive properties of HNBR were the best when the peroxide dosage was 10 PHR,and the influence of sulfur curing system on HNBR performance was not significant.The influence of curing system on HNBR/NBR blend was studied again.It was found that the oil resistance of HNBR/NBR was improved with the increase of HNBR in sulfurization system.In the peroxide curing system,HNBR/NBR blend improves the low temperature performance of rubber with the increase of HNBR.In HNBR/NBR blend,the mechanical properties and oil resistance of rubber are improved with the increase of peroxide content.Finally studied the effect on the properties of HNBR plasticizing system,using a variety of different types of plasticizers,HNBR workability with plasticizer lubrication is improved,the addition of plasticizer,to influence the mechanical properties of composite material impact on the oil resistance of the composite is not big,but can well improve the low temperature performance of materials.In this paper,the mechanical properties and oil swelling resistance of HNBR are controlled in a certain range by studying its structure,vulcanizing system,blending system and plasticizing system.
